Great day with great guide! - We did the hike to Santa Ana Volcano with Jocelyn as our guide and she was excellent. Obviously the hike and the scenery were incredible but Jocelyn really made it special! She was warm, friendly and a fantastic guide. The hike itself was not too strenuous 2 hours up and 2 hours down with some steep parts but manageable even for two people who are not regular hikers

Nice trip from Santa Ana to the Volcano and Lake - We had a great time hiking up the Santa Ana Volcano, despite some poor weather We got picked up from Santa Ana and the tour group takes you to the carpark, where they then add you to a larger shared group with the guides who are based at the volcano. It's a very busy trail, quite easy, but if the wind is bad at the top it is very windy and verges on dangerous. Stay safe! Admission fees to the volcano trek are covered by the tour group, the tour was a little on the expensive side but still a nice day, they take you to the lake for you to enjoy a lunch break which had some awesome views

Amazing day trip! - I had a great day trip to Santa Ana Volcano with EC Tours. Everything was very well organized, including a lunch stop at a beautiful lake. Arely is an amazing guide, kind, friendly, and helpful. As a solo traveler, she kept checking in with me and made sure I was enjoying the experience. She speaks both Spanish and English (which was important for me as a non-Spanish speaker), and she also took amazing photos. The hike was challenging but definitely doable, and the views from the top were insanely beautiful. Absolutely well worth the effort!

Great Tour - Pickup was early- 7am- from San Salvador. There was a large construction project happening on the highway so we did need some extra time for traffic. The road up the side of the volcano is very curvy and I had to take some dramamine to avoid motion sickness. The hike itself is fairly difficult. It starts out not too bad, but gets complicated quickly. There's a ton of rocks and you have to step carefully. I would highly recommend wearing hiking boots and not sneakers. Also, be aware of the altitude. You start at approximately 6,000 feet and finish at around 7,500. If you're coming from sea level the altitude makes a big difference. Bring plenty of water and snacks. The view from the top is worth the climb. Definitely bring sunscreen- the high altitude, low latitude, and lack of shade combination caused some really nasty sunburns for people who weren't paying attention. After we climbed back down (it takes just as long going down since you have to step so carefully), it was about another 40 minutes to get to the restaurant on the lake. We didn't arrive until 2pm; I wish I had realized it would be this late and I would have brought a sandwich to eat at the top of the volcano. It took another 40 minutes to order and get our food, so be aware of the very late lunch time. You can swim at the restaurant in the lake if you want to. I didn't think to bring a bathing suit, and I wish I had; it would have been nice to get the dirt and sweat off from the hike. The drive back to San Salvador was about another 45 minutes. Must haves for the hike: hat, sunscreen, good hiking boots/shoes, a backpack with snacks/water.

Great experience! - Two of us did a private tour to the volcano and lake today with William and Arely and it was a fantastic experience! Both guides were very professional and friendly. They were also a wealth of knowledge about El Salvador and were gracious with our less than perfect Spanish. It was great practice! Our guide Arely took us up the volcano and shared a lot of interesting information and stories with us while we walked. She made sure we got to the crater at a good pace, and led us down off the summit safely when the wind suddenly picked up. It’s obvious that they take safety seriously. Our lunch at the lake was a great way to unwind and chat more with our guides over a nice meal. The view is fantastic and the food was just what we needed after a long hike. 100% would recommend this tour!

Volcanic hike - Great hike and scenic views along the way, local guide led the way. Unfortunately due to the wind we could not make it to the top as it was closed. Will do it again when we return. Jocelyn and our driver Sondra great job .

Amazing tours - We did three tours with William and they were excellent. My favorite was the sanderism on the volcano. William was attentive, friendly, friendly, and very informative. I would recommend William with other tourists because he has empathy and experience at different ages. His charisma and joy makes the day extraordinary. If I go back to El Salvador, I'd do another tour with William.

Great people - We spent 3 amazing days in El Salvador. William picked us up from the airport and he was so much fun! We then met our amazing driver Sandra and our excellent guide, Jocelyn. What a duo!! They were punctual, informative, fun to be around, and very flexible with our itinerary needs. We had a great time seeing Tazumal, Santa Ana volcano, exploring Santa Ana city, and doing various activities around El Tunco. We had such a great time and we greatly appreciate them. We can’t wait to go back!

Great day hiking the Santa Ana volcano - Had a wonderful hike up the Santa Ana volcano with my guide Gerson. He is very knowledgeable of the area and the pace he set for me was perfect. The views at the top are absolutely amazing. The lunch we had afterwards at the Coatepeque Lake was delicious and the view of the lake is beautiful and peaceful. Our driver Jonathan did a great job making sure we got everywhere timely and safely. I highly recommend EC Tours, you won't be disappointed.

Would be amazing if I made it to the top😅 - It was a pity that the day we did the hike, the peak was closed due to strong wind!!! so only did 45 min hike to view point 2. 😥 I wish i checked weather forecast in advance as I was looking forward to the hike. The lunch place was nice and food was delicious. As it’s only 2 of us so we were able to make another stop before end of the day. Really appreciate the flexibility.
