Surabaya – Hotel in Bromo

Surabaya - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Surabaya at 9 am, or from Surabaya Airport or Train Station, depending on their arrival. The journey from Surabaya to the Mount Bromo area takes approximately 3 hours, passing through rural areas and villages. For lunch, the guide will suggest dining at a local restaurant to enjoy the regional cuisine. Upon arrival in the Mount Bromo area, it is advisable to wear a jacket and warm clothing as the area can be quite chilly, especially in the evening.

Optional:

If guests can start earlier from Surabaya, a visit to Madakaripura Waterfall is recommended. However, the cost will be at the guest’s expense. Please inform us if interested.

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise Tour – Homestay in Tumpak Sewu Waterfall

Mount Bromo - The sunrise tour at Mount Bromo begins at 3:30 am. Guests will be picked up by a local jeep driver and driven for about 40 minutes to Kingkong Hill.

The sun rises at 5:30 am, allowing time to enjoy a hot coffee or tea at a local shop near Kingkong Hill. This spot is renowned for its sunrise views, offering a panoramic view of Cemara Lawang Village, Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru. After the sunrise, guests will return to the jeep and drive to the Sea of Sand for a hike to the peak of Mount Bromo. There will be a stop at the Sea of Sand to enjoy the view and take photos with the iconic jeep. Following this, a 5-minute drive will lead to the trekking start point, with a 45-minute trek to the peak of Mount Bromo.

After breakfast and a shower, the journey continues to the Lumajang area, with a 4-hour drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.

Day 3: Morning Drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – Hotel in Banyuwangi Town Area

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall - On the third day, the trip begins at 5 am, as the best time to visit the waterfall is at 7 am, after sunrise, when the view is clearer and the waterfall’s colors are not too bright. With some luck, fog or mist may enhance the surreal quality of photos.

The drive from Lumajang town takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, with a zig-zag route, so comfort preparations are advised. Upon arrival, the breathtaking view of the waterfall will amaze guests. In addition to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Kapas Biru Waterfall can also be seen. Both are popular for Instagram photos, but caution is advised due to the slippery path and traditional bamboo fence.

Around 11:00 am, guests will be escorted back to the car for a 6-hour drive to the hotel in the Banyuwangi area, in preparation for the midnight trek to Ijen Crater.

Day 4: Ijen Blue Flame Tour – Drive to Your Hotel in Bali

Ijen Crater - The final day begins at 1 am from the hotel in the Banyuwangi area, with a 1-hour drive to the Paltuding area. Paltuding serves as a parking area where guests can prepare for the trek.

The trek takes about 2 hours to reach the Blue Flame, also known as Blue Fire point. The path is slippery and rocky in some areas, so it is important to follow the guide’s instructions.

After witnessing this natural phenomenon, guests will ascend to the sunrise point to view the stunning crater lake of Mount Ijen, which is the largest sulfuric lake in Indonesia with a pH of 0.5.

Around 7 am, guests will return to Paltuding, then head back to the hotel in the Banyuwangi area for breakfast and to prepare for the journey to Bali. After checking out, guests will be escorted to Ketapang Ferry Port to take a ferry to Bali island, which takes about an hour.
