Midnight Adventure Begins

The allure of witnessing a sunrise from the peak of Mount Bromo was too tempting to resist. I found myself in Surabaya, ready to embark on this much-talked-about adventure. The journey began at the stroke of midnight, as I was picked up from my hostel by a friendly driver. The drive to Sukapura was a quiet one, with the hum of the car lulling me into a light nap. Upon reaching Sukapura, the air was noticeably cooler, a refreshing change from the tropical heat I had grown accustomed to.
