- Nagan Eupseong Folk Village - Discover the essence of traditional Korea at Nagan Eupseong, a beautifully preserved Joseon-era walled town where residents still live today. It is the only one of Korea’s three great walled towns that remains a living village! Stroll along the narrow dirt paths, admire the thatched-roof houses and low stone walls, and enjoy a walk on the fortress walls for a panoramic view of the village and the surrounding countryside. This enchanting town, a popular location for dramas and films, also offers the opportunity to dress in a traditional Korean wedding costume with a partner and take photos in front of a beautifully arranged traditional wedding table.
- Nagan Eupseong Folk Village - Within the Nagan fortress village, enjoy a cozy meal at a traditional-style tavern that brings the Joseon era to life, offering comforting dishes such as noodles, bibimbap, beef rice soup, or pancakes with Makgeolli (rice wine). For a more substantial lunch, try a regional cockle set meal at a nearby restaurant outside the fortress. Lunch prices range from 10,000 KRW to 22,000 KRW, depending on your selection.
- Namyang-myeon - Udo is a small island in Goheung, often described as a “paradise on the sea.” With just 0.54 km² of land and around 90 residents, it offers a tranquil environment where life moves slowly and gently. Twice a day, when the tide recedes, a tidal causeway appears, connecting the island to the mainland. In 2024, a 1.32 km rainbow-colored footbridge was completed, making Udo accessible to pedestrians at all times. The residents of Udo live simply, fishing in clean waters and gathering shellfish from the tidal flats, just as they have for generations. There are no tourist restaurants or cafés—only the serene rhythm of life in a traditional fishing village. A walk from the bridge to the viewpoint and around the island takes about three hours, providing visitors with a rare opportunity to experience an authentic, untouched glimpse of Korean coastal life.
