1. To maintain the focus of the rikishi and their apprentices, please avoid private conversations during the tour.

2. Video recording or flash photography is not allowed inside the Sumo Stable. Photographs without flash are permitted.

3. Snacks, bread, rice balls, and other food items are not permitted during the Morning Practice. Please bring your own drinks with secure lids.

Sumo wrestlers and their apprentices engage in daily morning practice to uphold Japan’s cherished national sport, sumo, and ensure its legacy for future generations.

Closer than the official matches at the Kokugikan, spectators can witness the wrestlers’ breathing and facial expressions up close, and experience the sounds of their bodies colliding during the intense morning training sessions.

The coach’s voice is commanding and firm, which might be startling at first. However, this is a testament to the trust he has cultivated with his students and the rikishi who train alongside him, and it is this trust that sustains the Ikazuchi Sumo Stable.
