- Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar - Stari Most, meaning ‘Old Bridge,’ also known as Mostar Bridge, is a reconstructed 16th-century Ottoman bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It spans the Neretva River, linking the city’s two halves. The original bridge stood for 427 years before being destroyed on November 9, 1993, by Croat paramilitary forces during the Croat–Bosniak War. A reconstruction project was initiated, and the new bridge was inaugurated on July 23, 2004. The Old Town of Mostar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
