- Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar - Stari Most, meaning ‘Old Bridge,’ also known as Mostar Bridge, is a reconstructed 16th-century Ottoman bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The original bridge stood for 427 years before being destroyed on November 9, 1993, by Croat paramilitary forces during the Croat–Bosniak War. A reconstruction project was initiated, and the new bridge was inaugurated on July 23, 2004. The Old Town of Mostar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
