Gideon the ghost will welcome you and invite you to accompany him as he fulfills his duties as a caretaker for the deceased.

• Stortorget - Gideon leads you to Stortorget square, the site of the Stockholm Bloodbath in 1520. He recounts the events of those tragic days when nearly 100 individuals were executed here.
• Kindstugatan - Proceed to Kindstugatan, the former site of the Fimmelstången tavern, where a renowned bard met his end in the 17th century. Gideon needs your assistance to operate a radio playing one of the bard’s enchanting tunes.
• Själagårdsgatan - Follow Gideon to Själagården, once a lodging house for the elderly, poor, and sick. The spirits at Själagården are distressed because humans have attempted to expel them by driving iron nails into the doorframe. Perhaps you can help Gideon soothe the restless spirits?
• The Royal Palace - Join Gideon for a visit to the Royal Palace and its noble ghosts. Upon arrival, the White Lady greets you outside and requests your help with an unpleasant task.
• Norrbro - Pause at a former execution site at Norrbro, where King Magnus Ladulås was executed in the 1200s.

Gideon believes he hears a ghost calling for help and seeks your assistance.

• Norrström - Suddenly, fiddle music emanates from the water, unsettling Gideon. It’s his adversary, the folklore creature Näcken, attempting to lure unsuspecting tourists into the water. Gideon asks for your help to drive Näcken away.
• Prastgatan - Gideon guides you to the most infamous ghost location in Old Town: Hell’s Alley. This is where the former city executioners dwell in the afterlife. Exercise caution and avoid being deceived by them.
• Riddarholm Church (Riddarholmskyrkan) - Finally, you arrive at Riddarholmen Church, Gideon’s home. It seems Gideon has one last surprise in store for you here…

Curious about the ghosts and ghouls wandering the streets of Stockholm? With this self-guided walking tour game you can join Gideon the ghost for a tour of Old Town’s most haunted locations.

Gideon will take you to visit a few Old Town spirits, like The White Lady and The Grey Man. In each location you visit, he’ll need your assistance with a few tasks to keep the restless ghosts calm.

This audio walking tour is self-guided via a GPS-based app downloaded to your phone. When you buy the tour you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to download the app which serves as your guide, game and narrator. Listen to the story while you walk, and help Gideon in each location. Set a ghost free from its grave, visit the city executioners, and throw rocks at Gideon’s immortal enemy; the folklore creature Näcken. Gideon will tell you everything he knows about Stockholm’s dark history as you stroll through the narrow alleys of Old Town.
