Amazing Personalized Tour! - I cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour. Fully personalized, took us to all the sites we wanted to see, and threw in so many extras and special little stops. Our guide even took amazing pictures for us and sent them afterwards.

A Magical 11-Hour Scottish Adventure with E2G Tours - If you're even thinking about booking a private driving tour in Scotland, stop what you're doing and call E2G Tours. Right now. I mean it. This company is the unicorn of tour operators—rare, magical, and somehow even better than you imagined. How It All Began: After nine days of self-touring Scotland by train and foot (which was beautiful but exhausting), my husband and I found ourselves in Glasgow, tired, city-ed out, and craving a little pampering. At 4pm on a Thursday, I googled “1-day private driving tours from Glasgow,” fully expecting to be told “Sorry, too late.” The first company didn’t answer. The second—E2G Tours—picked up, and that’s when the magic began. Martin, the owner and possibly the kindest man in Scotland, answered the phone. I sheepishly asked if there was any chance they had availability for a private tour the next morning. Not only did he say yes, he asked thoughtful questions about what we wanted to see (lochs, castles, ruins, scenic landscapes like Glencoe, and yes, wooly coos), how long we wanted to tour, and whether we were Outlander fans (guilty-ish). The VIP Treatment: We asked for an early start and mentioned we’d need to bring our luggage since we were flying out of Edinburgh the next morning at 5am. Martin didn’t blink—he offered to pick us up at our Glasgow hotel at 8am and drop us off at our Edinburgh airport hotel at the end of the tour. That’s over an hour detour, folks. We were floored. Within minutes, we got a WhatsApp message from Joao, our driver, confirming everything. At 8am sharp, Joao arrived in a silver 9-seater van, wearing a kilt and flashing a smile that could power the national grid. He loaded our luggage, pointed out the water, crisps, chocolate bars, and tissues (for the inevitable emotional reactions to scenic beauty), and off we went. The Tour Itself: Joao was a dream guide—knowledgeable, funny, patient, and genuinely interested in us. We visited: • Wooly coos (Highland cows with bangs better than mine) • Castles, lochs, churches, and ruins • The charming villages of Luss and Inverary (don’t miss them!) • Oban for a delicious lunch • Glencoe and the Three Sisters (breathtaking) At Glencoe, Joao surprised us with a bottle of scotch and two wee glasses. He explained the tradition of toasting the landscape or taking a sip in its honor. We toasted three times: “Cheers,” “Slàinte Mhath,” and a mysterious family toast from my husband’s Yorkshire roots—“Down Sauchie Hall Street.” Don’t ask. Just go with it. As the rain rolled in and the sun dipped behind the hills, we made a few more stops, including some Outlander and Monty Python filming locations. By the time we arrived at our hotel in Edinburgh, it was well passed dark, and we’d spent 11 unforgettable hours together. Final Thoughts: This tour was the perfect ending to our Scottish adventure. We didn’t have to plan, think, or lift a finger. Joao made us feel like royalty, and Martin made it all happen with grace and warmth. Honestly, it felt like we made their day—which is wild, because they absolutely made ours. If you want to see Scotland in comfort, style, and with a touch of kilted charm, book with E2G Tours. You won’t regret it. Thank you, Martin and Joao—you’re legends!

Lovely experience - Our favorite tour of a 12 day trip in the UK! George Riley was a delight and took us around to see the lovely village of Luss and Loch Lomond, to Callander to pet the Highland coos and for a short stop to see the famed Doune Castle. He customized the tour to fit our tight schedule and even picked out a lovely lunch spot that met our dietary needs. Overwhelming kindness, great information. Highly recommend.
