• Meerlust Wine Estate - Established in the 18th century, this vineyard has been owned by the Myburgh family since 1756 and is globally acclaimed for its award-winning wines. Located just 5 km from the ocean, it features a historic Cape Dutch architecture homestead and outbuildings. Visitors can step back in time in their tasting room, rich with history and stories, to sample their renowned “Rubicon” Bordeaux blend along with other red wine varietals. Meerlust was the pioneer in producing a Bordeaux Blend in South Africa. Its proximity to the ocean allows cool sea breezes and evening mists to create wines with complexity and rich, concentrated flavors.

• Rust en Vrede Tasting Room - Nestled in the Helderberg mountains and sheltered from the strong South-Easterly winds, Rust en Vrede (Rest and Peace) is ideally located to produce full-bodied reds with robust structure and excellent aging potential. Guests can enjoy their selection of Estate wines under the Oak trees and then take a leisurely walk through their cellar.

• Guardian Peak Winery & Grill - Lunch (at own expense) is enjoyed at this vineyard, situated on the slopes of the Stellenbosch mountain range, offering breathtaking views over the wine country. The menu caters to all tastes, including vegan and vegetarian options.

• Oldenburg Vineyards - Considered one of the most scenic vineyards in the Stellenbosch region, it is surrounded by a stunning mountain amphitheater.

Their winemaker states, “My mission is to let the terroir speak by allowing our unique site to fully reveal and express itself. This is achieved by harvesting the grapes at optimal ripeness, minimal manipulation in the cellar, and gentle extraction to produce balanced, elegant wines.” A cheese platter is included in the tasting.
