Stavanger has a varied... - Stavanger has a varied and interesting history learning about it was a pleasure. Our guide Jacob, is a university student and very knowledgeable. He has a great sense of humor and is very patient and understanding of older folks who need a bit more time to get places.

A potted history of Stavanger at an easy pace, a great experience - Andrea contacted us on the day with clear meeting instructions. Her knowledge of Stavanger, its history going back to the ice age, changes over time, it's key influencers and how it has become the place that it is today made our walking tour very enjoyable. We cannot thank her enough for such an enjoyable and informative experience!

Fantastic Stavanger Walking Tour - We had a brilliant time on this two‑hour walking tour of Stavanger. Our guide, Andrea, was friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and engaging. The route is really well thought out: starting at the Alexander Kielland statue, looping around the lake, weaving up through the charming old town, and finishing along the port outside the Petrochemical Museum. Along the way, Andrea shared fascinating insights into the history and culture of the local area - perfect for anyone who enjoys learning more about the places they visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would happily recommend it to others. A great way to get to know more about Stavanger and Norway.

Great introduction to Stavanger - A wonderful tour in the historical center of Stavanger. Our guide Andrea tailored the experience to our interests, including tidbits of Norwegian words and fun facts. One warning, the weather in this part of Norway can be unpredictable. Look out for the forecast and dress accordingly.

STROLLING STAVANGER - Andrea gave us a very lovely and thorough tour around town. She was very sweet and engaging, and taught us many facts we would not know otherwise. My husband and I very much enjoyed our time with Andrea- strolling Stavanger!

No Tour Happened - I never got to go and was told the night before that my tour got canceled. No reason. I had to reach out to them as to explain why the cancellation. They did respond. Although, I asked if I could do the tour on another day, and they said they would get back to me. Unfortunately, they did not. I did get my money back but this experience left me a bit sad because I was looking forward to this walking tour.

Not the tour promised or paid for. - We booked this Stavanger walking tour expecting a knowledgeable local guide and an informative experience. Unfortunately, what we received bore little resemblance to what was advertised. We arrived on time at the correct meeting point and waited about 10 minutes before being met by a representative who immediately explained that he was not actually the walking tour guide. He told us he normally worked on the buses and had been sent at short notice. He openly admitted he knew very little about Stavanger, its history, or culture. To be fair, Lucas himself was a lovely and friendly person, and we genuinely enjoyed chatting with him. However, he was clearly placed in an impossible position and completely unprepared to lead a walking tour. Most of the limited information we received appeared to come from tourist information signs or quick searches on his phone. He attempted to compensate by promising entry to two museums and later the cathedral, but after awkward discussions at each venue we were refused entry every time, which was embarrassing for everyone involved. The tour eventually became little more than a long walk to the water tower viewpoint and back, with very little meaningful commentary. In truth, we could easily have achieved more ourselves with a map and a short internet search. What is most disappointing is that we contacted the tour organiser afterwards without reply. We asked Tripadvisor to mediate and the tour refused to acknowledge any responsibility at all. This experience was poorly organised, misrepresented, and not remotely worth the money paid.

Go elsewhere - The guide was friendly, but neither local nor did he know anything about Stavanger or any specifics of where we went. Ended up researching everything on Chatgbt. Could have just walked the tour ourselves. After reaching out to the company no answer. Wouldn’t recommend.

Minimal walking to sites... - Minimal walking to sites one could easily find alone….sadly guided by a Spaniard, who could tell us little of Norwegian life, & not even aware of the popularity of saunas ; indeed she did not understand the word sauna. On the plus side she was ‘trying hard’ & went over the allotted 2 hrs. Too little walking & too cold to stand around.
