Hiking to Pulpit Rock on a Rainy Day - We joined this tour since there’s no shuttle bus from Stavanger to Pulpit Rock in October. Our guide picked us up at the Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel around 7:15 a.m. and drove us to the Preikestolen Parking (P1). He was very friendly, patient and attentive, and we really enjoyed the experience, even though it was a rainy day.

Tour guides were great but poor communication from Viator and tour operator - The guides who accompanied us on the hike were great but the communication from Viator and tour operator was poor. I changed my hotel 4 days before the tour and gave them the new hotel name but could not get anyone to respond to me to confirm the new pickup place. Viator received the response from the tour operator but didn't communicate to me. I had to call at 10pm the night before to get the response from Viator.

Spectacular landscape, nice guides and cool experience - The walk was spectacular. The weather was very good, which helped a lot, but the trail was very beautiful and the view was the best part. I picked up two Argentine guides, a man and a woman (unfortunately I do not remember their names), but they were very attentive and patient with everyone: they respected people’s time, always asked if we were okay and gave us tips during the tour. The translate searches in the location you put and is quite punctual. The group of people I stayed with was very nice and I was able to meet new people! As a solo traveler and woman I felt very safe throughout the whole tour, from beginning to end. Take water and snacks, a good track tennis, a good wind cutter and prepare your knees and legs because the track is relatively challenging, but the view makes it very worth it. I recommend going on a day without rain.

Incredible - Wow! What an amazing experience, I am so so happy I did this! My tour guide was great, the views were incredible and the trip was well organized but most importantly, I felt safe. I will warn you, if you have bad knees this could be a very very very difficult hike for you, especially on the way down. I am in my 30s and my knees spasmed at the end - I've never had that happen but my years of soccer caught up to me on this hike! If you're out of shape this will be tough, but not impossible just take breaks. My iPhone said I climbed 143 flights of stairs just for reference. Lastly if you're irrationally afraid of heights don't do this. If you're moderately afraid then you can do this. I would say I am a little more then moderately afraid but I had good support by the guide and other hikers and I pushed through the fear. It was worth it!

Good walk, it's more... - Good walk, it's harder than it looks and you have to be fit. The setting is amazing. Erle is great, friendly and very attentive to everything. Fully recommended!

Windy, but Wonderful!! - Our guide Arla was terrific! Met us on time, promptly drove our group to the base of the mountain, and got us on the trail early. She had a great pace for the uphill trek, given the age range. Despite the unbelievable winds, she took our pictures individually. Such a great bucket list experience!!

Incredible! Fun! Once in a Lifetime! - The experience was incredible! Our guide was incredible and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend! The hike is well worth the effort and going with a guide is something I would highly recommend to people who do not hike often!

Good hike to Pulpit Rock. - We were fortunate enough to have Toa as our guide and Havard training with our group. They were both very knowledgeable and took us down on a side path where we got to eat fresh blueberries (there may not be any left after my son ate so many) and avoid the crowded main trail. You really can't get the great picture without having the guides, or someone else, take it from the side view. Pick-up at the hotel and drop off went very smooth. Over all an A+ experience.

Great hike - I had a great time on this hike! It was definitely longer and harder than I expected (especially the way down!!) but the view was worth it. You need to be relatively fit and healthy to manage all the climbing on rocky surfaces. Håvard was very kind and kept us together. I would do it again!

Enjoyed the challenging... - Enjoyed the challenging hike. However, the Guide was not helpful or encouraging. He shared many stories about those who did not make it. This caution is great to know, but at the same time it is helpful on a challenging hike to get some positive encouragement. His words of caution were so much that at the end one individual felt bad for being slower and turned around. We had total of five in group with three individuals who were fit and in their late twenties and two individuals in 60s … this was not a good match for pacing . The individual who turned around could have made it with a slower pace and some positive encouragement … this was a trip of lifetime for her. Guide hung back to chit chat with others many times rather than assist those needing help.
