- Monte Serrat - Board a train to Monte Serrat, a peak offering a fantastic panoramic view from the old casino at its summit. Access to the hill is via a funicular system (known as the Monte Serrat cable car) that connects the hill to the city center, departing every half hour.
From this vantage point, you can enjoy a complete view of the port, the urban area of Santos and its surroundings, Bertioga Channel, Estuary, and Barnabé and Santo Amaro Islands. At the peak’s summit stands the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte Serrat, dating back to the 17th century, the city’s patron saint, and one of its historical attractions, established in 1603.
