Simply excellent and wild - This tour is one of the best you can take: it’s a truly immersive and captivating experience. Our guide, Vinicius, was excellent and very knowledgeable, always willing to explain everything while sharing his passion for the area and for Brazil. The small group size and the transportation were both excellent. There’s a short hike involved to explore the forest more thoroughly, but it’s well worth it because you get to see monkeys and toucans.

Green canopy, sloths, waterfalls, history! - Our hike in Tijuca Forest was stunning! Beautiful plants, wonderful shade on an otherwise very hot day in Rio. Waterfalls were magnificent. We saw a sloth which felt very special, little monkeys swinging from trees, and giant blue butterflies. Ricardo was an amazing guide! He was kind, a very clear communicator, and shared in depth historical and environmental contexts that made our experience not only beautiful but a tremendous learning experience. All of the JungleMe communications leading up to the tour were detailed, accurate and helpful, and meeting up with Ricardo was easy and just as described. Thank you for a memorable day in the forest!

We saw toucans! - We were supposed to be a group of 6, but there ended up just being 2 of us because of the rainy weather. I would suggest you to NOT cancel because it's rainy - the weather was perfect to be traipsing through the rainforest! The cloudy weather kept the temperature in a nice range and the dense tree cover meant we hardly noticed the rain at all. It was a fantastic day. We saw toucans and "Brazilian racoons"! The hike is indeed moderate and there are some short, steep stretches, but we went slow and stopped for breaks frequently. Our tour guide, Ricardo, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of cool information about his experiences and the forest around us. I couldn't have asked for a better day and am happy I didn't let the rain deter my outing!
