• Parque Florestal da Tijuca - Upon entering Tijuca National Park, visitors are greeted by the breathtaking Taunay Waterfall, the park’s most renowned cascade, featuring a stunning 35-meter free fall.
  The hiking adventure spans 4 hours along picturesque trails, uncovering historical sites and exploring the lush vegetation of the Atlantic Rainforest that forms the park’s backdrop.

The first stop is at Cachoeira das Almas (waterfall), where visitors can refresh themselves under its cascade. The journey continues past the historic Floresta restaurant, leading to the Caves Trail to explore the Belmiro, Archer, and Bats Caves, with impressive rock and granite walls enhancing this section of the park.

After exploring the caves, the hike proceeds to the Cristalina and Baronesa waterfalls, followed by a return on a different path. This route includes a visit to the Gabriela fall, offering time to relax, enjoy a snack, and soak in the beauty of the Rainforest.

The trails are generally easy, though the hike covers 5.5 miles. There are some sections with moist and slippery soil, but no significant challenges.
All waterfalls feature natural crystal-clear water sourced from the park’s water basins.
The caves visited are safe and pose no risk to guests.
