Gustavo - king of the forest - Gustavo turned out to be the best guide one could imagine. We have already used similar services many times, but I can confidently say that Gustavo is truly unmatched. He has extensive knowledge not only about Tijuca National Park but also about the entire city of Rio de Janeiro. At the same time, he is incredibly helpful, kind, and approachable. During our hike, he revealed many secrets of the forest that we would never have noticed on our own. We also learned a lot about the history of Rio and Brazil itself. It was an unforgettable adventure that we will remember for a long time. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic day hike in the beautiful Tijuca Forest - This was a fantastic hike that was recommended to me by 2 friends who had previously been on it. Vinicius, my guide, was the perfect hiking partner. He was knowledgeable and interesting and it felt like hiking with a friend, especially as it was just the 2 of us. We only saw 2 other people on the whole hike as we went to much quieter areas that would be difficult for people who are not used to hiking. And we saw a group of capuchin monkeys, which topped off a great day. I highly recommend it. Thanks Vinicius!

The best thing you can do in Rio! - It was absolutely beautiful to see the forest and all the wild animals. I learned about its history, and even some biology! The views were stunning, especially in the fog. I highly recommend it. It's a very unique experience and a wonderful way to escape society for a day.

Great day out to Tijuca National Park - We recently had a fabulous day out on a full day guided walking tour of the Tijuca National Park in Rio with Richardo from Jungle Me. We were very well looked after and Richardo worked hard to ensure we got the best from the day out. He drove us to various parts of the rainforest before our numerous hikes and gave us a really interesting background of the history of Rio and how the National Park has developed to this current day. He explained about the flora and fauna as we went around the park and helped us take some great photos of us as a family. It was a long day for him as he then drove us back to our hotel and not at one point lost any enthusiasm. He also had accompanying him a fellow guide who was training, Vinnie who was also very pleasant and shared some interesting facts along our trip. Highly recommend!! Thanks Richie and Vinnie!! :))

A tour worth taking in so many ways... - Excellent experience ! So glad I chose this hike. I wanted something enduring and explorative while being educated at the same time. Our guides were fabulous. We were fortunate to have two since one was in training. Gustavo, our main guide, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the hike. Both Carlos and he educated us so much on the history of the forest, Rio, and Brazil. We had a great group too. Again, grateful for the experience. I'd recommend it, even if you are normally a solo hiker - you can't beat the social interaction!

Beautiful and nutritious experience - Really spectacular! The guide very attentive, friendly, warm and very clear in his explorations, speaking in perfect Spanish. The pickup was punctual and the trip very pleasant. The place is a beauty, walking hours in the jungle, feeling taken care of and learning from the history and flora and fauna of the place. Beautiful experience! Super recommended!

The best of the best - I had the absolute pleasure of touring the Tijuca Forest with Ricardo, and I can't recommend him highly enough! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. His passion for the forest, its history, and its unique biodiversity was contagious—he brought the landscape to life with fascinating facts, local legends, and a deep respect for nature. Ricardo made sure everyone in our group felt comfortable and included, regardless of fitness level or prior hiking experience. He was attentive, patient, and always had a smile on his face. He also went above and beyond to ensure we saw the best viewpoints, waterfalls, and hidden gems that most tourists would miss. Thanks to Ricardo, I walked away not just with beautiful photos but with a deeper appreciation for Rio de Janeiro’s natural beauty. If you're considering a tour of Tijuca Forest, do yourself a favor and book with Ricardo—you won’t regret it!

Beautiful forest, very pleasant day. - Luiza, our guide picked us up from our hotel at the agreed time. We reached the Tijuca forest about 45 min later. Luiza first introduced us to this forest and a little history of Brazil in order to better understand the evolution of the forest. Note that the tour was in English. Throughout the route we had explanations about trees and vegetation. No luck that day it was not very nice so at the viewpoints we only saw the clouds. For those who would like to do this hike, select (if possible) a sunny day. Luiza introduced us to the Tijuca Forest with all the interests. This day feels good, away from the bustle of Rio, a day of calm. We took the option "full day", hike indicated as "Hard". For people who are used to hiking there is no difficulty. The paths are well drawn and the difference in level is not too great (quite acceptable). There are beautiful trees, waterfalls. We expected to see a little more wildlife. On the way back, Luiza, took us to "Vista chinesa", a view of Rio. Then back to our hotel. Thank you to Luiza for his kindness, sharing of knowledge and thoughtfulness. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful discovery. It makes you want to come back and discover more because this forest is huge.
