Lunch is not included, giving guests the freedom to select from the city’s top restaurants for a genuine culinary experience.
- To avoid crowds at Christ the Redeemer, we recommend starting the tour as early as possible. Our earliest time is 6:30am.
- To watch the stunning sunset from Sugar Loaf Mountain, we recommend starting the tour at 11:30am or later.
- The “Real Gabinete Português de Leitura (Royal Portuguese Reading Room) is not open on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. We will visit another attraction on those days.
- If you are staying at Barra da Tijuca and Recreio, we recommend starting your tour at 6:30 AM to avoid heavy traffic and experience the best of Rio.
- We recommend installing Whatsapp Messenger app in your phone when coming to Brazil. It’s very popular here and it will make your communication much easier. It’s a free app, available on both Play Store (Android) and Apple Store (iPhones).

Must book this private tour! Especially with Ana Maria - Honestly best part of our entire trip! I highly recommend Ana Maria! She was the best. She made touring Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer a breeze and almost effortless. We learned so much on the way!

Great way to see the main attractions in Rio - We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Gabrielle, was very informative, punctual and friendly. We saw all the points that were included in the package, including Christ the Redeemer, the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the old town. We started at 7:00 am, which safed us time by avoiding the city traffic and the lineups to the main attractions. We highly recommend Gabrielle and her driver Romerus who was also very helpful and attentive. His car was very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful especially with... - Beautiful especially with the prority in the queues. The advantage with a good lunch no waste of time in a restaurant we were able to visit more things. Good guide (English ) to see absolutely with a guide speaking French

Excellent Private tour of Rio - Our private tour of the sites of Rio was great. Our guide Iza, met us at our ship after 2+ hour delay. (By ship). Even with a shorten time, we got to go to Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer.
As it as Carnivale, Iza and our driver Leo found a Carnivale street party for us to join for a while. Later, we saw some parties downtown.
It was nice to have a private tour with flexibility with the schedule.

Best way to see Rio De Janeiro - We did the Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf tour and Flavio was our personal guide. He was fantastic and kind. His suggestion was to start at Sugarloaf first, and he was right. We beat the crowds and had very little waiting. Afterwards our driver Junior drove us to the famous tile stairs of Brazil. We happened to be here during Brazils carnival and saw lots of colorful people in costume celebrating along with some of the parade floats. Then we were off to see Christ the Redeemer. We learned so much information from Flavio and couldn't imagine doing this tour without him. He is well experienced and loves his job. Thank you Flavio & Junior for a great and memorable experience.

Christ Redeemer - It was awesome! Our guide was wonderful and could tell what worked best for our group!

Poor Vehicle, Unsafe Driver, Guide lacked deep knowledge - We have booked dozens of tours in our travels, always opting for the best and highest ranked options. This unfortunately ranked as the poorest tour we have done. The guide was likeable enough, but not very knowledgable about the the city when we asked him specific questions. The cost of this private tour was substantial, so we would expect a great vehicle. However, it was an old vehicle, in poor condition with lots of rattles, and heavily tinted windows that were poor for viewing and taking pictures through. In addition, the driver was unsafe and travelled too fast in wet and rainy conditions at times. This tour does not match up to the price we paid or what we have known to be provided by Viator.
