This tour does not require entrance fees and provides free, convenient pickup from any hotel in Rio, as well as from the port and national or international airports.
Tailor your tour to perfection by choosing a focus on nature, history, or art:

As a special request, you may opt for a visit to Santa Teresa instead of the tour’s focus.

Hands down the best tour guide you could possibly ever have - Isaac, was absolutely incredible host and friend. He did such an amazing job pointing out specific details and attractions. He made sure to make everyone feel comfortable by speaking English to us all. He was very polite and professional. I would recommend to anyone and would love to wish him the very best in the future !

Request Isaac! - “My friends”, Isaac was the best! Very knowledgeable and so nice! He helped us get reservations moved, He made the best suggestions for our tours, and even helped us order our food at the Colombo café!

Perfect last day! - This was a perfect tour for our last day in Rio. We had already completed two other tours and had seen all the major sights. They picked us up from our AirBnb condo with all our luggage and dropped us off at the airport at the end of the day for our evening flight.
Our tour guide Isaac spoke great English and was easy to understand. We wanted to see the Polo Saara, he took us there first and brought us to a few stores we wanted to see, and then we walked to the old library which was very cool. We then ventured to the mosaic maze house which was absolutely stunning! Our day ended at a top restaurant with an amazing view of the area and delicious Brazilian cuisine. It was truly the best ending to our trip!

Fun day! - We let out guide Diogo choose most of our day. We did the Maze, the Carnival Experience, the monastery, and cathedral. Our lunch was nice and we drove the whole beach from Copacabana to Leblon. Fun day!

Duncan was our tour guide for 2 days, Issac for 1 day and our driver was Romullo for all 4 days. All were fantastic, very knowledgeable, extremely welcoming and made us all feel very welcome in Rio.
Punctual collection from our hotel on each of the four days, car was excellent and very comfortable with AC.
Would highly recommend Way to Know Rio, both our guides Duncan and Issac and our superb driver Romullo.

A great tour seeing some... - A great tour seeing some interesting bits of Rio away from the signature sights. We had an excellent guide (Lucas) and a really good driver (Brian) . We thought the day was good value.

He knew so much about everything, His English was superb.

Unforgettable - Alex is an amazing guide! We got to visit a lot of hidden gems in Rio - for example: last pieces of preserved Portuguese colonial streets, mosteiro de sao bento, and more. At some of the locations, we were the only ones there. Alex is very knowledgeable and regaled us with personal anecdotes of his experiences growing up and meeting the people involved in many of the sites, such as with the creator of Escadaria Selarón.
An unforgettable experience.
A shoutout to our driver Bruno as well for navigating some of the most challenging roads in Santa Teresa 😱.

The Way to Visit Second Tier Attractions - In general a good additional day, if you have visited places like Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Rio Cathedral. Flexible in places to visit, enabling you to tailor to your own likes.

Unexpectedly short tour - We took this Private tour as it was advertised as an 8-9 hour tour.. We were picked up at our hotel at 8.30am. After visiting several sites, we were brought to wait in front of a restaurant for lunch at 11.35am. We started lunch at 12nn and finished at 1.25pm. We were dropped back at the hotel at 1.30pm. We were shocked that the tour concluded so quickly. To be fair to the travel guide, he explained that this tour was based on the number of destinations selected and visited rather than on the total time spent on the tour. However, we were not convinced as the total time spent for the tour is also a function of how much time we spend at each site visited. Anyone interested in this PRIVATE TOUR should confirm with the operator on how much time they plan to spend with you on the tour.
