Queer eye for Rio Delights - Marcelo did a great job showing us the flavor and feel of the areas. We booked tours with him for 3 days and it was excellent time Spent. His warmth and knowledge of Rio was refreshing as we navigated the city. We highly recommend him as an ambassador to Rio.

A great guide in Rio - We had a wonderful experience with Marcelo. He was knowledgeable, fun, punctual and a great guy. The type of guide that guides. Not vomiting facts on you. He suggested times that worked for traffic and crowds at the events. Highly recommend!!

Tours in Rio with Marcelo are excellent and fun! - I am so glad I found Marcelo and the tours he offers! Don't hesitate to book with him! I did 3 tours and each one was a blast and we became great friends! He is knowledgable, punctual, speaks perfect English, and is a lot of fun! He was also able to refer me to a terrific pilot to take me hang gliding which was amazing. I am definitely coming back to Rio and would love to do another tour with Marcelo!

EXCELLENT tours and TERRIFIC guide! - The tour with Marcelo was the highlight of my trip to Rio!! Not only was he highly knowledgeable about the history of Rio and the sights that we visited, but he was so much fun to be with. He made me feel comfortable and safe and we quickly became friends. As a solo traveler you kind of never know what you're going to get in the way of a tour guide and Marcelo was so welcoming. He was terrific! I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you, Marcelo!

Excellent tour guide! - A great tour guide who makes the tour fun. He gives the right amount of historical context but adds some lesser known facts to make the story more interesting. A great personality who is easy to talk to. He is a native Brazilian but speaks perfect English (as well as very good Spanish and Italian). I would recommend him to anyone who wants to explore the city with a relaxed, engaged guide.

If I could give 15 stars, Marcelo deserves it! - Marcelo's tours are the perfect way to get to know Rio de Janeiro. I chose two tours, starting with an evening nightlife tour, and the next day, a tour to Christ the Redeemer, Santa Teresa, Lapa/Selaron steps, and Centro. Marcelo took the time to learn my interests and create an itinerary that best suited me. As he got to know me, he even changed our itinerary to better suit my tastes. His knowledge of the history and culture helped to make the tours come alive. And, the places were all amazing - both the landmarks, the local spots, and the choices for meals and snacks. Many places you wouldn't find on your own as a tourise. He will get you into the landmarks the quickest way possible. Knows the secret parking places, so you're only steps away. And, chooses the best places for your pics. He's funny, smart, punctual, informational, thoughtful and such a gentleman, he even open the doors for you. Whether your first or tenth time in Rio, book a tour with Marcelo. You will be so happy you did!

Super recommended Pirvado Tour, Marcelo Our intelligent guide and with good humor always willing. Thanks for everything. S - We traveled from Miami. Our guide was marcelo a super intelligent person and with good humor, it was two days doing the main activities in Rio.. we traveled in a time of rain and cloudy skies, but only when the Christ was clear we went to visit it that is the good thing of a private tour.. that you can change the route without any problem..

Highly recommended - Marcelo was super friendly and knowledgeable about the places we visited. He helped skip all the lines in an efficient way and knew all the best photo positions with f.e. the statue of Christ the Redeemer. We had lunch in a great restaurant in Santa Teresa. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, fun, and we saw heaps! - Marcelo was such a great tour guide. An entertaining and knowledgeable friendly guy! He took us to Christ the redeemer, and we got to skip the chaos and queues. He took great photos for us the entire day. Then he took us to Santa Maria where he showed us all the really cool ships and restaurants, lunch was fantastic, coffee and acie was awesome too. Finally we ended at the colourful steps where he gave explanations on the history and meaning of everything . I highly recommend this tour
