In the 16th century, the French attempted to conquer Rio de Janeiro and chose this location to settle and advance towards the shores of Guanabara Bay. Pedra de Guaratiba is rich with stories for its visitors. The journey then follows the beaches of Grumari, Prainha, Macumba, Recreio, Barra da Tijuca, São Conrado, Leblon, and Ipanema.
