- La Soufrière - La Soufrière is a stratovolcano situated on the northern side of St. Vincent. Standing at approximately 4,048 feet (1,234 meters) above sea level, it features a crater about 500 meters wide and 60 meters deep, offering a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and seascape. Visitors can enjoy a rich diversity of flora and fauna up close. The La Soufrière volcano has erupted in 1718, 1812, 1902, 1987, and most recently on April 9, 2021. This hike is suitable for the average hiker and is accessible from both the northeastern (Windward) and northwestern (Leeward) sides of the island. Hiking from the Windward side, the tour takes about an hour from the capital, Kingstown, along the scenic eastern coast, passing through agricultural farms on the way to Bamboo Range, where facilities such as parking, washrooms, and gazebos are available. Starting from Bamboo Range, it is a 4 km hike to the summit and a 4 km hike back, which typically takes an average hiker 2 hours to ascend and 2 hours to descend.
