Highlights

The tour begins at 10:00 am sharp with a 15 minute drive through downtown Basseterre. Drive in air conditioned comfort as you see and hear of the history of the town’s iconic monuments from our experienced English tour guide such as the Berkley Memorial, the “1840”, and Independence Square. You will then get to know more of Irish Town, the War Memorial, the Egrets nesting site and Bloody Point as you drive by, and then we make our way off to visit the Seventeenth century Romney Manor, home of the ancestors of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States. It is one of the most celebrated sites on the island, as the Caribelle Batik, famous for it’s Indonesian technique of picture making by applying hot was to material, is also housed there. There is an entrance fee to visit this magnificent estate, but this is already included in the cost of the tour. We must tell you that the Pre - Historic Petroglyphs are on the way to Romney Manor, and legend has it that this image on the stone is indeed a fertility image in its own right.

Great experience! - We were met in the town square, just outside the port entrance. Easy walk to the van parking lot. Mikey was a great tour guide! One of the best we’ve encountered on any Caribbean island tour. He gave us lots of info on the sites in town and en route to our Amazing Grace Experience and Brimstone Hill Fort stops. We had adequate time at each of those stops as well, though history buffs could spend the better part of the day at a place like the fort 😊 We had wanted to do this tour for some time and it ended up one of the highlights of our cruise. Thanks so much for all of your arrangements and offering this itinerary. It was nice that your pricing included fees for the AGE and Fort so we didn’t have to “pay as we went.” Appreciate the “all in price.” We definitely recommend your services to others going to St Kitts and will book with you again when we return.

Good tour for a quick visit - This was a very good tour if you are looking for an easy tour for just a few hours. Verona was a great guide and took us to some off the beaten path roads for a new outlook. I have been here 4 times and saw new things on this tour. The Amazing Grace Experience was enjoyable and we learned something new. It was a rainy day but we managed to see everything and stay dry. Great tour!

great tour of the island by verona - we had a wonderful tour off a beautiful island as was only here for the one day off cruise ship. she took us all around and explained the history, flora, traditions of the island. we really liked the Amazing Grace experience and the caribelle batik tour, beautiful grounds at the manor. the view of atlantic ocean on the left and Caribbean on the right was a sight to see. Verona dropped us off near a local restaurant for local food and it was great. the tour was wonderful and Verona really made our day. prices very good also.
