Hmmmm - Beautiful train ride to see the Island, but dreadfully organised! Awful transfer from hotel in a vehicle with no aircon and very cramped. Driver was late so we had ro miss the first stop before the train, then on arriving at the train it was a free for all to get aboard!

History of St. Kitts - Very fun and informative, our guide took good care of us and spoke in detail about the history of the island. The train ride itself was bumpy but yet fun.

Disappointing.. - We reached out to the tour company directly to book the tour and was confirmed. Their response was timely and we appreciated that. The day before the tour we were informed that the train itself was not operational, so we opted for a round the island tour. The guide was on time and even stopped off so that we can get breakfast to go. The guide was also pleasant. However there were definitely issues. I will note at this point, that before I post a review of a company that may not be positive, I always contact them to speak with them directly. I contacted the company the afternoon after the tour and at the point of typing this, there was no response, acknowledgment or anything from the company. Here were the main issues: 1. The vehicle did not have a functioning A/C. We decided not to make an issue as the vehicle was already here, but it did get uncomfortable at times. From the start there were issues with one of the door handles (which ended up coming apart when we tried to open the door). The guide initially tried to make it appear to be our fault but eventually she said, don't worry about it. 2. It felt more like a drive around the island rather than a tour. There was little history or information given about the few sites that we saw. We had to keep asking questions but the level of information was lacking. 3. We did not actually get a tour of the main town. It was decided that because we would stay off in Basseterre instead of stopping off at the hotel, that the tour of the town would be last. It's afterward we realised that we were just dropped off by Port Zante with no drive through the town. The only site we visited (at the beginning) was the War Memorial. 4. It was also only after coming back, we also realised that Timothy Lookout wasn't done, neither was the mangroves near to Carambola which I had asked at the beginning for us to visit. Truthfully we were already disappointed with the quality of the tour that it wasn't until we were heading back to the hotel that we realised that none of that was done. This is the exact feedback I sent to the company for which no response was given. While I wish them all the best, I cannot recommend them unless their service improves.

Fair - Interesting history and a great way to see the entire island. However, the ride was scheduled as a three hour trek, and it ended up being 5 plus hours. I guess it was island time! But it made us alter plans we had also made for that day.

Would not do it again. - The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We did learn many facts about the island. The rum drinks on the train were great! The problem was where you change from bus to train. There is no Depot. Bathrooms and one shade tree is all that is there. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the train. Storm was coming and everyone was huddled under one tree for shade. They need benches and a pavilion of some sort. Especially for the elderly.

Not that exciting unless... - Not that exciting unless you just want unlimited drinks. Countryside is mostly very poor. This train ride just takes advantage of existing tracks. Ride to nowhere
