Great excursion with family of 7 - Directions to the meetup point were easy to follow and we found Elvis immediately with the sunflower sign. His van was comfortable, cool and spacious for 7.
The history of the island was nice as we toured the roads. The roads are pretty well paved compared to St. Thomas and St. John. We stopped at Timothy Point for the iconic pictures of the Atlantic/Caribbean separated by a thin strip of land.
The kids loved getting pictures with the monkeys. *pro tip* just have a handful of $1s or $5s for the tip. Otherwise don’t make eye contact with the handlers and stay away from them.
Elvis took us to Rush Slowly beach bar. Get there early if you want a prime beach chair choice. We arrived by 10ish and it filled up quickly. Great food and beverage choices. Prices are tourist influenced, we drank and ate a lot, total of $250 amongst 4 adults and 3 kids, but we had a great time there.
The beach is nice, but rocky in some spots. My son found a lot of bottle caps, so watch where you step. There’s lots of shade available if needed. We decided to leave earlier than expected, so we called Elvis and he was happy to come pick us up.

Excellent trip to a nice... - Excellent trip to a nice beach.
Our driver, Elvis, was very punctual and gave an interesting and informative commentary as we drove to our destination.
He gave us time to stop at a spectacular view point for photographs.
Generally an excellent trip.

Highly recommend - It was such a perfect day. Vincent was knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about the island whilst driving. We had few stops to take photos and enjoy scenery. Beach was absolutely lovely, we managed to find few interesting fish and water was very clean.

Great trip - Great tour with a small group of people. Elvis was our driver, he took us to Cockleshell Beach and picked us up a few hours later. Trip included two photo stops, one was the famous Timothy Hill Overlook.

Great value for a day on a lovely beach - Very well organised, Peter met us at port as arranged and we had a pleasant taxi ride to the beach. Beach is lovely, it does get crowded but we were early enough to get sunbeds which were 25 dollars for 2 with parasol. Don't feel pressured to get the first ones you come to, there are plenty along the length of the beach. Peter came back at a time we'd requested and was an excellent driver and guide. Great value excursion.

Relaxing and beautiful - After walking h past the big group tours make your way to the Goldmine. You’ll see someone holding Sunflower sign that is a ho you checkin with. We waited about 15min for others but they were so polite and apologetic about having to wait. We were people watching and enjoying music.
Wally was our driver we followed him to a clean air conditioned minivan. We had two stops both great views of the Caribbean and Atlantic. Then off to the beach. Wally gave us his number incase we wanted to leave early. Also cold drinks we appreciated,We’re glad he did. He dropped us near the Spice Mill we took a left walked a short way and a guy offered us 2 chairs and umbrella $15.
There was no haggling they didn’t bother us at all. It was a perfect spot sand was soft and I was able to have an unobstructed view of my grandkids playing in the beautiful clear water.
If you take a walk further down is where they rent jet skis that beach area was packed. Not as nice as the area we chose. We ended up calling Wally and telling him we wanted to stay longer. He was very accommodating. He had towels on the seats for us along with cold drinks. He was already there before time waiting for us.
This was a great trip our family enjoyed ourselves! Big up Wally we have your number when we return to your beautiful Country!

Great Driver and Narrator - Elvis Williams was our tour guide. He was very friendly and informative. A great tour guide. The tour start point was at the Gold Mine store right to the left of the dock exit/ entrance. Easy to find but the sign Elvis held could be confusing. It said beach taxi, not cockelshell beach tour. You have to ask. The beach there is beautiful and there are lots of chairs/umbrellas for rent. I would suggest going to the first stop or the middle of the beach.

Just average - We went here on an excursion from a cruise ship. It was our first stop and we just wanted to sit on a beach. This one was average in every way, and the heavy winds we encountered didn't help. The staff there wasn't all smiles and friendly like you usually experience on the other islands and the bar only had 1 person working. On a hot and calm day I might go there again, otherwise I'd just stay on the boat.

It was basically a cab... - It was basically a cab ride to the beach and nothing else. You were left on your own to find the best beach area and chairs etc.
