Great conversation and tour - Excellent tour by Brandon. Ended up being almost 3 hours because we asked lots of questions and the tour guide was very passionate about his subject not just a tour, but a deep dive into the history and economics of Newfoundland. We ended up talking about and looking at a lot of things which I’m sure we’re not on the usual tour.

Excellent walk about in St John’s NL - Historical and truthful walk about in St. John’s. The journey to becoming the 10th Province of Canada is both insightful and funny albeit a little crazy too.

Great tour, lots of fun - My adult son and I did the tour this week. It was a cold rainy day, but despite that the tour was fantastic. Pierre, the guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of St. John’s. He had a good sense of humour and kept us entertained, while informing us.

Great Experience! - I had a great time walking with Pierre and the group through St. John's! We covered a lot of ground at a nice easy space given all the hills and I never felt rushed. Pierre's love for St. John's and the province was felt through his lively and funny story telling (and jokes!), and his deep historical knowledge. We had some great laughs and learned a lot! He also gave suggestions for food and other things to do in the city as we walked so this is a great way to start your time there as an introduction. 10/10 from me for this tour!

Pleasant discovery of St John's on foot - Pleasant discovery on foot of downtown St. John's for 2.5 hours, in a small group. Very interesting to know the history of Newfoundland and many anecdotes told with humor. I recommend.

Colorful St. Johns. - There is nothing like a walking tour of an unfamiliar metropolis to get the lay of the land. My walking tour of St. John's exposed me to the scenic architecture and culture of the community like the splashy painted houses of jelly bean row as a take on the painted ladies of Frisco. A stroll along Harbor Drive revealed a waterway moored with vehicles of fishing and mercantilism. I veered off on my own on Water street as it was was chucked with retail outposts, eateries and bars; some unusual. I was captivated by the seal products at the Natural Boutique and the Dildo Brewery and Museum more than caught my eye. St Johns embraces a salt-of-the-earth charm.

Too far to walk back to starting point - At my age of 79, I ended up having to turn back before the end of the tour with overstressed knee joints because the guide kept walking farther and farther from the starting point. I suggested to him to design the tour in a way that we would circle back closer to the starting point. VERY GOOD, INFORMATIVE TOUR THOUGH!

Bad local tour operator - It was pouring rain when we started but the guide insisted on continuing the tour. After 10 minutes with soaking shoes and pants I as well as several others left the tour. What bothered me was that the tour operator would not refund our money albeit the tour is advertised as “good weather only” on the site! Albeit, Viator tried to have the company refund our money that’s refused and Viator had to do a courtesy refund.Great service by Viator, but wouldn’t use this tour operator under any circumstances. Choose another tour in St. John’s but make sure you don’t use this operator - they stink!
