Best Experience to See Nights of Lights - We had the most wonderful experience doing Nights of Lights with Seaside Ventures! From start to finish, it was truly worth every penny.
Our tour guide was fantastic; so knowledgeable and engaging, and shared so many great tips for our next visit, including restaurant recommendations, bars, and fun experiences we would have never known about on our own. We loved being taken through beautiful neighborhoods, hidden gems, and seeing the lights in spots we wouldn’t have found ourselves, all while learning about St. Augustine's rich history along the way.
It felt special, thoughtful, and perfectly paced. The lights were magical, the stories brought the city to life, and the entire experience felt personal and not rushed or touristy.
This tour is absolutely worth the money and the experience. We’re already planning to do it again and can’t wait to come back with our whole family next time. Highly recommend!

Ride with Phil! - My husband and I rode around with Phil and it was just such a wonderful time. He was nice and knowledgeable and just made the whole ride super comfortable for us! We would do this again and loved the experience. Thank you!

Fun Tour at the Nights of Lights - Phil and Frankie are great we had such a good time on our tour of the lights. Phil stopped at perfect places to get pictures and Frankie was such a wonderful host while we waited for our tour to start.

We’ll be back - Phil was fantastic. Went to areas in St. Augustine I’ve never seen. Had many photo opportunities!
I think back seat is small. We did ok but if any of us were larger, it would not have been comfortable. Definitely beat the crowds on the trolleys

Awesome adventure - night of lights! - Had a great time with Danny the tour guide! He knows St Augustine! The lights were beautiful and the moke was really cool! We were up close with them! Frankie was awesome too! Thanks for getting Mr the pics!

St Augustine Christmas Lights - Nice enjoyable ride through Old Town St Augustine during the Christmas season. Driver gives history of St. Augustine while seeing the lights of Old Town. Easy to find pickup point and fun experience.

Tour of Lights - Our driver, Danny was EXCELLENT and a big reason we had fun. He was informative and a fun story teller. This was definitely a great way to avoid some walking and the super crowded trolley tour. However, there is no way four adult people fit in the Moke. One person can sit in front next to driver and twi adults in back. I was the 3rd in back and I had to sit on the side of the vehicle. Two adults and a small child, maybe. Three VERY tiny adults, maybe, but no way this is a four person tour. The tour itself and our guide were fabulous!

Tour needs to be rethought and overhauled - The high price of the private tour was not worth what was delivered. First, the vehicle had no doors so the passengers had to climb onto the vehicle to get in. For older people which seems to be a high percentage of the visitors we saw in Saint Augustine, having to climb in and out of the vehicle is a problem, and also detracts from taking the photos, which was supposedly one of the features of the tour. We came away with about 5 pictures taken by the driver.
Secondly, there was no historic perspective given throughout the tour so we had no background on the lights or anything we saw. Basically, I could have done the same thing by driving around and stopping and taking random pictures.. There was absolutely no value add to the tour. One of the biggest highlights of the tour was supposedly to take pictures inside the Renaissance hotel. Since we were staying there we had already taken pictures so this was of no value to us.
Having said that our driver Jordan could see the limitations of the tour as described for us and tried to go out of his way to give us a better experience so for example he drove us around a couple of more times for us to take our own pictures. We appreciated his attempt to go above and beyond to try and remedy the situation. He was also nice enough to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel which was 3 miles from the tour operator’s location.
So for the steep price of $200 plus providing the driver (because he was not a tour guide) with a tip, this less than 45 minute experience was not worth the price. I would recommend that the tour operator rethink this particular tour and overhaul it to avoid unhappy customers. The sole reason we came to St. Augustine was to see the night lights and learn about them. As mentioned I could have driven around at night, taken a few pictures along the way and saved $200+.
From speaking with other tourists who used a different tour company, there is a better experience for this night lights tour that perhaps this company could pursue.
