Total Rip Off my wife had a fractured foot and we could not use the cart no refund used 90 mins paid for 6 hours - I rented a golf cart at fun rentals today in St Augustine Florida. When I arrived, I was told there was no 4 person Golf carts, but there were some on the lot. I guess they were all reserved, so I was told all they had were 6 person carts. I was okay with that. I asked about the hours and was given an hourly rate. I was told to have the cart back by 4:30pm. I picked up the cart at 9:58am. I told them we would definitely be back by 4pm since I had reservations at a nearby restaurant. I paid upfront for 6 hours $290.40. We left and after driving around finding may streets under construction and one way it was not help for me to rent the cart. We thought this would help my wife who is in a boot with a fractured foot who recently had surgery. We decided to head back and return the cart. We returned the cart at 11:20am, we had the cart for less than 90 minutes. I was told we do not do any refunds. To make a long story short I asked the man running the place if I would not have paid in advance and I was an hour late what would you have done, he said quote “ I would have charged you for another hour and you would have owed me two hours total.” I said you can give me a refund if you want to and just left. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Please drive around to see if you can even get down to the areas you think you can drive on. It would help if they were honest and had a map of area with the areas where carts are not allowed. You cannot get that close to some of the areas the like you think. Some one way streets if you are not familiar with the area force you to drive on roads that golf carts are not allowed on. Total rip off… Even after telling them about my wife they did nothing. Stay away…
