Fantastic experience - Company with a most competitive price for tomorrow's Safari (50€/person, can be paid in euros) and a friendly driver who knows what he does. Tomorrow’s Safari includes a small half stop for a fantastic breakfast. Seeing (or not) leopards depends on chance, but they certainly try. Highly recommended, with good communication by WhatsApp.

Su as an expert guide! - Super nice Safari of half a day. Seen a lot of animals, a bear, jackals, elephants, eagles, crocodiles. Su was a very knowledgeable guide. He was patient and also very respectful to the animals and other guides. He had years of experience and it showed.

Wonderful morning tour. - It was a wonderful tour. Our guide, whose name starts with an A , was wonderful. He gave a good commentary about the animals and tried really to show us what we wanted to see.

Awesome Safari experience and amazing hosts/team. - Most amazing service, food and beautiful tent- we were in Tusker and I would highly recommend this. My husband is very fussy about things but really enjoyed this glamping experience. The Safari was great fun and we saw lots of elephants, crocs, buffaloes, peacocks, spotted deer, leopard which was most thrilling, eagles, Srilankan national bird- very colourful rooster!
I am planning to come back here with my sisters. Thanks to the team at Yala Leopard Safari for goods this awesome experience 🙏

Beautiful! - We had a great morning. Our driver made sure we were one of the first in the park. Good value and even breakfast was provided. He went out of his way to spot animals for us. We have seen many animals and as icing on the cake a leopard in the distance. Definitely recommended. Yala is beautiful!

IMPROVED EXPERIENCE - To start, the driver arrived on time (04:30 am) at the hotel pickup. After 40 min approx on the way in the jeep, we reached the second line entrance to the park, but the driver let many jeeps pass in front who came later, which I did not understand. The activity included breakfast, which was provided to us almost at the end of the activity, when the ideal time would have been waiting for entry. Later, this activity depends a lot on the skill of the driver, since the park is quite crowded with jeeps. There was a moment when we walked in, when we saw a crocodile in a large lagoon with quite a few buffalo, and the driver didn't stop and pass by, which I didn't understand. Then we saw quite a lot of animals (Crowd of birds, elephants, crocodiles, varans, buffalo, deer...) and the landscape is simply spectacular, it is worth it, as it is a pure safari.
The driver then stopped a little longer, but he was just telling us that there was a specific animal, without providing any description.
Then, the worst part of the activity is that our driver had a pique with another driver of another jeep, driving recklessly for a few minutes, compromising at that moment our safety, which I found regrettable. Finally, instead of looking for the elusive leopard, we were taken to a kind of visitor center with cafeteria, bathroom and being able to see the sea in a stretch of 5 meters, which I did not want, as I wanted to take advantage of the safari until the last moment, as it was the option of half a day. However, in the end there was a tip-off of leopard sighting, apparently among the trees, and it could not be seen, since there were no binoculars in the jeep, which DOES indicate that they have it in the activity. The driver showed us the camera with the zoom to be able to see it, but nothing was appreciated, doubting even that it was one. Ultimately, I wouldn’t recommend it, unless they recommend a particular good driver.

Weird and rude - First of all, the staff were rude in their communication. They told me they would pick me up at 4:40 p.m., but they actually came earlier, and their messages came across as rude. The worst part was later, when we reached the gate of the safari park. They asked to see my passport and specifically mentioned my Pakistani passport.
They are not immigration authorities; they are a safari company. Why should they ask for my passport? Why was I singled out just because I hold a Pakistani passport? This treatment was discriminatory.
For the record, I hold two passports — a Pakistani passport and a British passport. I entered Sri Lanka using my British passport. The only reason they assumed otherwise was because I contacted the safari company via WhatsApp using my Pakistani number. This assumption and the way I was treated was unfair and discriminatory, and I strongly object to it.
