Wild beauty and a lovely adventure! - Andrew picked us up in Kandy at 6.30 and drove us to the Knuckles Range, before entering , we had a cup of tea and some breakfast, and met the guide who was going to take us for the hike. After a short stop for the lunchboxes (which were delicious!) We were ready to enter the mountain trails. Our guide was very aware of our needs, whether it was waterbreaks, walking tempo or photoshooting. He was also very curious to ask about us and our homecountry aswell as telling a lot about the forests we were walking in!:) He had a good eye for spotting wildlife, and wild fauna: The sound of a monkey min. 200m away made him stop and spot it in a tree! We walked the intermediate route, which took us to two lovely waterfalls (one in which you can have a dip), as well as different types of forests. The trail was nice, also a little difficult, with narrow passes and wild fauna trying to overtake the path - but that only added to the charm. The Knuckles Range is profoundly beautiful and still offers true wilderness forest. We would definitely recommend going, and even more so with Andrew and the team of Soul of Lanka Tours!
