Join us for a walk through history as we explore the center of Split, a 1700year-old city and ancient Roman city-palace protected by UNESCO. We will stroll not only through the old town, the Palace and its cellars but also through 2000 years of history filled with both educational and amusing, as well as bizarre situations. Meereen, the place where Daenerys spent three seasons, where scenes of the fight between slaves and masters (the “kill the masters” scene) were filmed, battles of Grey Worm and the Unsullied against the Sons of the Harpy, the death of Ser Barristan Selmy who saved Grey Worm, the dragons that Daenerys chained and later fed to the evil masters. Who was Emperor Diocletian, the greatest persecutor of Christians, and why did he vomit after dinner? How much did the Venetians pay for Split? Why does a headless Sphinx guard the entrance to Jupiter’s temple? We will show you what we eat and where to find the best food and local wine - Dalmatian specialties!

A tour worthy of a royal decree from the Iron Throne! - We had an absolutely brilliant time on the Game of Thrones & History City Walk – Dracarys! It was a small, friendly group of just four of us, which made it feel really personal. Our host Mario was fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the history of Split and the Game of Thrones filming locations. We loved how he used his iPad to show us video clips from the scenes right at the spots where they were filmed – it really brought everything to life and made it easy to imagine dragons flying overhead! A perfect mix of history, fun, and TV magic – highly recommended.

Worth the Time & Money - Great tour!! I loved that we got to learn Croatian history alongside GOT history. Our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable about both. In addition, we thought we were going to be late, as we were traveling from Zadar, so I reached out to Marko. He immediately told me not to stress and that he would ensure we were able to join the tour whenever we arrived. We had our 7 & 9 year old with us, and they also enjoyed the tour.

Split Supreme - A thoroughly enjoyable tour, the guides made sure to contact us beforehand and afterwards sent videos and photos of the clips they referred to. The information was very factual and kept us informed. They were great guides, we enjoyed the tour immensely.

A really fun and informative tour with an excellent host - We really enjoyed this tour of both Game of Thrones Locations and the history of Split. You don't have to be a fan of Game of Thrones to really enjoy the walk and it is really useful that the host has the videos and pictures from the tv series to show at the various landmarks. Our host Marko was excellent, engaging and full of energy right from the start, he provided lots of humour mixed with great information on both GOT and the history of Split. Was lots of fun recreating scenes from GOT at the actual locations but we really enjoyed learning about the history of Split and Diocletian/the palace also. The local singers in the palace were excellent too.

Super GoT tour of Split - We had a tour with Marco. We were a small group of 6 people. Marco has explained everything in English in detail and easy to understand. He was there with body and soul.

- An incredibly informative tour for GOT and non GOT fans, good small group making it personal and we were not "talked at" but a good amount of history interwoven with GOT relevant sites. Marco has definitely worked hard to perfect his tour (. and GOT linguistic skills - very impressive)
All in all, a terrific 100 mins- compliments from a non GOT fan

For the GoT fan(s)...and their supportive travel partners/buddies/families. - I never got in GoT, but my husband is a huge fan. I do appreciate culture, architecture, and history, so if you are into any of the above, this tour is for you!
Nina is an incredible tour guide with great stories and information and this tour is a very affordable way to learn all about the history of Diocletian's Palace and more.
My husband loved the GoT scene and production info, so this tour has something for anyone, even if anyone in your group is not a fan of the show.
