Great intro to Mediterranean cooking. Hake, shrimp, sea bass and sea bream.... - We've taken cooking classes from Greece to Peru. This was one of the most fun and educational classes we've taken. Our chefs were entertaining and informative guiding us each step. The final product was delicious and filling. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Great cooking class experience! - Thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class and our learning and laughing experience. Chef Željko Neven Bremec is a world class chef. He educated us on the food we were about to prepare as as well as the benefit (taste in depth of flavor ) of preparing it according to his recipe. Our entire group enjoyed the meal as well as the process of making the food. It was a fun and uplifting experience. Definitely recommend split cooking.!

Fun cooking class - The whole day was great! We met Drago at the green market where he purchased vegetables, and then to the fish market. After that we walked to the cooking academy and had a fantastic snack of bread, cheeses, meats, anchovies and wine. Everyone chose a task to prepare the feast we had. It was great fun to prep and cook the fish and vegetables. The food was outstanding and our chef was knowledgeable and fun! We had so much fun and enjoyed everything this had to offer. I highly recommend this!

Great way to start the day in Split! - This cooking school experience was excellent! The cooks are pros - and passionate about Croatian food. We prepared an entire meal after buying produce at the market. Each guest can participate as much or little as they like making the experience perfect for everyone! Also, great tour and history as we walked from the market to the cooking school. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Split!

Fantastic cooking school experience! - Our fairly large group had a fantastic time at the Split Cooking School. The chefs guiding us were fun, kind, helpful and clearly managed us well. The food we prepared was outstanding. I was so impressed that the chefs accepted our techniques while gently guiding us in new methods. Wine flowed and we all had a fabulous time together!

Entertaining Day with Chef Zeljko - My wife and I did the Morning Class and Markets Tour with Chef Zeljko. We started in the Green Market purchasing potatoes, chard, zucchini, eggplant, lemons and herbs while Chef chatted and waved to the many people he knew. We then headed to the Fish Market with a brief history and walking tour through the old town alley ways. In the Fish Market we purchased fresh sea bream and sea bass for what would become a delicious lunch. We learned some new techniques and had several laughs, sipping on homemade brandy and local wines while preparing our feast. Dishes included sea bass carpaccio, baked sea bream, homemade bread, grilled veggies, potatoes and chard, fish pasta and flan for dessert. In addition to learning new things and an amazing lunch, we had a blast hearing Chef’s stories laughing throughout. My wife who doesn’t even cook had a lot of fun and great experience.

Would find something else to do - We had high hopes for this class. We travel frequently and enjoy cooking classes as a way to learn more about the culture of the places we are visiting. Unfortunately, this class did not meet our expectations. Our chef was nice, but not a seasoned professional as advertised. Our trip to the markets were very brief, with no additional explanation of the different things grown in this area. After a quick walk, we arrived at the studio - which was a small culinary school. The aesthetic was not warm or welcoming, but more like a high school foods lab. The meal prep was not as hands on as we would have liked - appetizers were already prepared, wine was just opened without further info of what we were drinking. Of course we asked questions, but were used to more of a conversation instead of QA session. The meal itself was just ok - nothing I look forward to recreating at home.
