Day trip to Plitvice and Zagreb from Split - So we were a family of nine with 2 children and one infant! We we’re personally accompanied by Igor and Tomo during our trip. It’s a pretty long drive and the conversations with Igor really made it seem short! He is definitely one the best tour guides I have had. He’s really informative and nice. Throughout the walk in plitvice Igor insisted on carrying the baby’s stroller so we could have a good look at the national park! Very rare that you find such amazing warm hearted people! Even post trip he kept suggesting soo many places and personal favours to me! People like him are the reason We love the country and it’s people. Had a chance to speak and get to know Tomo as well! Never realised throughout the trip that he was the owner! Really humble and down to earth guy! Even when we showed them our other plans and tours, they never criticised the other companies and always said that they were good. Shows you that they are genuine gentlemen! Was extremely happy to have been with them! Will be definitely going back to Croatia soon and will be with these guys! Beyond all that they are extremely professional and will make your stay great!

Plitvice Lakes is awesome in October - Having Zico Tours take us from Split to Plitvice Lakes and on to Zagreb made for a fabulous day and an easy transfer. Plitvice Lakes National Park is absolutely magical in early fall colors. Zico Tours made the visit a pleasure. Avoid summer if you possibly can! It must be a total zoo trying to walk those narrow paths in summer. There were still tons of tourists when we were there October 5, but our Zico guide, Naned Holjevac, guided us through the park on a route that minimized the crowds (i.e., taking the bus up to the upper lakes and hiking back down from there). Zico Tours was easy to contact and flexible about scheduling. Naned picked us up at 7:30a in Split. He was a careful driver, a knowledgeable and low-key guide and fun to spend time with. With his guidance, we were able to see all the lakes and waterfalls, visit Rastove village, and reach Zagreb by about 6pm. Perfect! Zico Tours was the perfect way to go from Split to the lakes to Rastove Village and on to Zagreb, all of which are well worth a visit. picked us up in Split at 7:30a.
