A visit to Spello is rewarding - The town of Spello has much to offer, unbelievable views, great restaurants, the Baglioni Chapel and truly amazing Roman mosaics. We made it a day trip from Perugia. A visit to Spello is not to be missed.

Among flowery alleys, art and good food. - Spello is a really nice village and kept with great care. I was impressed by all the churches, perfectly restored. Beautiful views even in winter, when the characteristic and delicious flowery alleys are missing. I recommend some places that I really liked : to eat in a cozy place and excellent quality, the Osteria al buchetto. For a memory of Spello and a special and original gift to give to those you love, the shop of Mrs. Lidia Guidi, via Consolare 19, with its handmade creations. For some precious artistic ceramics with wonderful colors, Baiocco, via Cavour 13, with the tender dignor Francesco.

Village among the most beautiful in Umbria - One of the most beautiful Umbrian villages. Less popular than the usual Assisi, Gubbio and Orvieto, yet with nothing to envy to them. Highly recommended are the two main churches, which contain beautiful works by Pinturicchio, one of the greatest painters of the Renaissance (the Baglioni Chapel is one of the absolute masterpieces of Renaissance art, probably not known as it deserves), the Roman gates, the Roman villa with its mosaics and Villa Fidelia with its magnificent park. A characteristic of Spello is the ability to boast a combination of Roman, medieval and Renaissance art, which makes it quite exclusive.

One of the most beautiful villages in Italy - I went back after so many years, the village is very nice to visit, beautiful flowers that you meet during the walk. Visit the works of Maestro Ottaviani, fantastic paintings, but as you say "his brush is the thread" you will understand why after seeing it in the church of San Martino (free admission). To see the Venus gate, and then every alley has its charm. Just 10 minutes from Assisi.

shameful pizza and exaggerated prices - if you are in Spello do not stop at the pizzeria il grottino, a place to avoid, especially for those who come from Rome and are accustomed to the delicious pizza alpala. They would like to imitate the pizza alpada but they could not even remotely, for the ingredients for the consistency of the pasta and especially for the exaggerated prices. Please don't fall for it.
