This site offers significant insights into Gibraltar’s history during the siege. The tunnels were manually carved out of the rock during the Great Siege from 1779-1783 to defend Gibraltar against Spanish and French forces attempting to reclaim it from the British.
• Gibraltar - The tour concludes on Gibraltar’s main street, where you will have time for lunch and shopping.
