Great! - Tebogo from Nukli's provided us a great experience around Soweto's most iconic spots. There's nothing like learning from a local one which has deep roots with the place. Great!

Reality from within - It was really a wonderful experience. Being able to meet Soweto hand in hand with a local who was born and raised there, meets so many people... It was truly an honor to see the reality of this country and not always stay in a bubble. It was a full SUPER tour and Nonhlanhla was fantastic, super close, friendly and professional. An admirable person.

Experiencing the authenticity of Soweto - We had a chance to see multiple parts of Soweto (from lower class until upper class), with seeing thr historical places. Our guide Nonhlanhla comes from here so we had info directly from the local. We enjoyed it a lot!

An eye opener that gets under the skin - The tour with Nkuli through Soweto was much more than just sightseeing. It was a deeply educational and authentic experience that will occupy us for a long time to come. We were particularly impressed by the honest way of mediation: The gap between rich and poor has been made very present and painfully aware of here, without losing sight of people's dignity. It was touching to hear the stories behind the facades and to feel reality so immediately. If you don’t just want to see South Africa, you should definitely do this tour.

History of Mandela's eternal legacy - It was amazing. The guide is a person very engaged in society and aware of the struggles of the black population. I was thrilled by her descriptions of the past of blacks in Africa. I really liked interacting with her and the people of the neighborhood so needy, but at the same time so solidary with each other. It is a story live the walk and live Mandela and his struggle for equal rights between whites and blacks.

Step into local history - You can easily organise an Uber/Bolt at the end of the tour from Museum or Nelson Mandela House rather than returning to. pick up point at Soweto Hotel. Great historical knowledge from our guide and even local.dining experience,!

Very enjoyable tour (although not as advertised) - This was an excellent walking tour of Soweto and our guide was absolutely first class. You really get a feel for the place, warts and all. It’s also a very nice blend of activities. A few things to be aware of: - Some of the areas are quite sketchy, so if you wouldn’t feel comfortable in that environment you might want to consider another tour - The tour only lasted just over 3h and there was no mention or visit to the brewery - it’s a good idea to take some small Rand notes/coins to use as tips if needed - Although we didn’t walk that far we were on our feet the whole time
