• Mandela House - On our way to Soweto, we’ll provide a comprehensive overview of the township, including its history and notable facts. We’ll also cover details about Mandela House, shanty towns, and security. Our first stop will be at Mandela House in Soweto, where you’ll pay the entry fee and be guided on a tour. The tour costs R 100. After the tour, we’ll proceed to the next stop on Vilakazi Street.
• Soweto - We’ll take you on a ride through the township to explore its various areas.
• Apartheid Museum - Note: The museum is only open from Wednesday to Sunday. This visit is a must for all travelers, offering a profound understanding of South Africa before independence. You’ll have up to 3 hours to explore the museum, with an entry fee of R 150. During our drive from Soweto, we’ll brief you on what to expect. This is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.
• Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct - One of my favorite tours. Visit the prison where Mandela, Gandhi, and many other notable politicians were incarcerated. You’ll also see the Old Fort, Ladies’ Prison, and the new Constitutional Court. The tour highlights the tragic history of mistreatment and the hope that our new constitution will prevent such events from recurring. The cost is R 90 per person.
• Johannesburg - We’ll drive past the central business district, which has been vacated by most major corporate headquarters and the stock market. We’ll also pass by several large gold mine dumps and the Anglo American Gold head offices.
