Beautiful Ride - Beautiful horse ride through Losee canyon near Bryce Canyon national park. My horse Little B was well behaved along with all the others.

Great change of pace experience - Very nice change of pace experience. Not having horseback riding experience made the 3 hour ride a little painful. There isn’t a place where you get off the horses and take a break. We would have done the shorter trip had we known. It is a lot of the same sites and terrain so the shorter trip would be ideal for people who have not ridden or rarely ride. But it was still a very nice trip and our guide Braden was great.

Fantastic Tour 30/07/25 - We had an amazing ride with Ruby's on Weds 30th July for a 3 hour ride in the morning in Losee Canyon. We had never been horse riding before and trusted the website that this was suitable for beginners and we didn't have any problems. The horses were well cared for and well trained and by the end of the ride we felt very at ease considering I was quite nervous to start the day! Our ride was a full 3 hours at a very manageable pace and the riding style was easy to pick up. All of the staff were great and checked in on us and the horses regularly. We were right at the back of the group and spent a lot of time chatting with the two wranglers towards the back of the queue who were very personable and hilarious, we had a good laugh! The ride its self was beautiful, it's not very shaded and quite hot but also quite flat with no major slops which suited us as beginners perfectly. Legs and bum were a little sore at the end which we expected but be prepared for stiffness! I'd also recommend using the restroom before you leave the hotel pick up as there is only one not so pleasant compost toilet on site when you arrive. Thank you Ruby's Horseback adventures for an amazing introduction to horse riding!

Mother, Daughter Trip - We took the half day ride. What a beautiful place to tour on horseback. Horses were great, guides were fun. Overall a great time!

Walking trail ride thru rocky canyon floor. - Great views throughout the trip. Im not sure if the people in the rear heard that many comments from the guide. All walking on this trip due to the terrain conditions in the canyon. Not safe to trot or canter.

It's Red Canyon-Not Bryce-But Nice! - The ride was nice but not as advertised. The pictures shown were on top of the canyon and in some wide-open areas as well as through the canyon. It was not a 4-hour ride. The trip started at 1:00 meeting place with a 20–25-minute ride to the horses and then back again to the meeting place. Then it takes about 1/2 hour to get everyone saddled up. So, you may be riding for about 2 hours which is great for most people. The ride is not alongside or through Bryce. It's through Red Canyon which was very pretty but don't expect Bryce. The horses were very good. Our guide Skylar was very nice and had a dry sense of humor. Overall, I would recommend it if you never rode through a Canyon before.

Balade - A little disappointed because we were sold this ride on the canyon bryce park... we made more forest than anything else it's a shame. The experience was nice, the horses adorable, flat for the animators at first because not being super comfortable with their language, they didn't really try to understand but they were safety guidelines so announce them without being understood... there is a problem anyway! Fortunately, we had already ridden in France. To discover or not.

Not worth it. - The half day we did was from 1pm-5pm. You meet at the adventure desk in the main hotel and then leave in a van for a half hour ride to Losee Canyon where you get your horse and they go over safety and logistics. The ride began at 2pm. The horses are fantastic. They are well-trained horses. Our guide was Gavin. The ride had no historical commentary despite stating on the description that it was one of Butch Cassidy’s hideouts. When I asked Gavin our elevation he said 2500ft. Actually we were at about 7700ft. The ride was pretty silent except for my family talking to each other. Most of the ride is not shaded and on the way back we were pretty exhausted. Our guide provided no interesting facts other than to point out what certain hoodoo formations looked like (ie old lady playing piano). It was not worth the $680 we paid for the five of to ride horses for approximately two hours in the dry heat. Had there been some historical or geographical context it would have been much more interesting.

Our ride was canceled without adequate notice. Go ride somewhere else! - We arrived at the Activities Desk to check-in for our ride, only to be told the ride had been canceled. The attendant said I was emailed regarding the cancellation. I don't view that as acceptable, especially when other communications were via text. I don't check my email on vacation. I pulled up my Outlook account; there was an email regarding the cancellation, with the reason being horse readiness. I asked for clarification from the staff, but received none. As we, and another group, would ride on a shorter trip minutes later, this excuse seems disingenuous. (Of note, this shorter trip was not worth the expense.) Given all the above, we will not be using Ruby's when we come back, as there are other stables in the area.

Unprofessional - I'm very sour because my plans were ruined, my time wasted, and my party was manipulated into cancelling our ride.
I'm convinced that my guide just didn't want to get wet. It would be better if they just had a policy for the guide to be able to cancel the ride if they don't think the weather is appropriate.
