On this tour, you will have the opportunity to hike through the rugged terrain and discover the ancient dwellings that were carved into the rocks centuries ago. As you explore these ancient ruins, you will also come across several secluded archs that offers a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. Your knowledgeable and experienced guide will be with you every step of the way, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the history and culture of our region. 3.5 Hour Mystery Valley 4x4 Tour - The guide Joseph made the tour. Joseph shared interesting information about the place and people who share the landscape. My friend and I would definitely sign up for another tour with Joseph.

Mystery Valley is amazing and so is Roz! - Roz was one of the best and most personable guides we have had the pleasure of knowing and learning from. She shared so much about her family and we laughed so much with her. Her flute playing was magical and emotional and we just had the best time and can’t thank her enough!!

The gift of quiet and peace. Amazing! - Guide Duffy really touched us both. Sincere, kind, gentle, an excellent photgrapher, and of course deeply knowledgeable about his People, Spirituality, Beliefs, history, the nature of the lands he calls home. What an amazing experience we had. Raised the bar for me, who has been before, with a different, but delightful, Navajo guide. We had Duffy to ourselves, moved at our own pace. Our photos will always serve to take us back to that cool, quiet morning among the ancient rocks and dwellings.

Shout out to our stellar guide Duffy! - Shout Out to Duffy, our knowledgeable, sensible, sincere and gentle guide for the Mystery Valley Tour-a highlight of our 10 days driving tour of the Mighty Five. I believe he enjoyed guiding 2 quiet, respectful adults who love nature and learning about different cultures. Please, TIP your guide, visitors! A party of French people were on the same route, different guide, and not a dime for a tip! “When in Rome…” Just sayin’.

Awesome and Unforgettable - Duffy Holiday was our guide. He spoke from the heart about the Navaho culture and philosophies on life. It was truly an amazing tour which took us to pueblos in their original state rather than reconstructed. I would highly recommend the Mystery Valley Tour, but ask for Duffy. You will be rewarded with an unforgettable experience.

Wonderful back-country tour by a great guide - My husband and I were the only ones taking the tour, and it was fantastic. Duffy, our guide, shared both "his Valley" and his perspective with us, and we learned a lot. The landscape, formations, and cliff dwellings were beautiful. Duffy lent me a hand "walking" on sliprock, which I really appreciated. He also demonstrated a mastery of "panoramic" mode with my cell-phone camera. (How did he do that!?!?)

Photo tour group - Harry is the consummate guide. As photographers, he knew that the best thing he could do was to keep reminding us of the light angles. Great sense of humor.

The mystery valley tour... - The mystery valley tour is 3 1/2 hours. Too long for what we saw and learned. If you are only doing one tour, opt for a tour that goes on the 17 mile loop drive.
