Our family of 5 had the BEST time watching dolphins play, cruising the waters, and studying the Marine life pulled up by nets. We will definitely be going again next time we are in SPI. 10/10 recommend.

We were disappointed with this dolphin “Eco” tour that involved dragging a net on the bottom of the ocean, distributing the ecosystem, and then hauling whatever they catch onto the boat for an “eco” presentation where people handle all the animals, without even having to clean their hands. Visitors are wearing sunscreen, which is known to be harmful to marine life. The net on this trip caught three butterfly rays, two striped burrfish, a crab, a starfish, and a shrimp. The animals were placed in a black box with fresh ocean water pumped in. They purposefully aggravated the fish to get it to puff. They allowed a small child that didn’t understand to handle the fish and then she was not gentle. The crew told me they were keeping the animals on the boat all day and would release them later that night, after all the tours. This practice seems cruel and unnecessary as most people were there to see the dolphins. It also should not be called “eco” when it is clearly not. The dolphin part of the tour was enjoyable, we saw lots of dolphins. The crew members were fun. I just wish that the business wouldn’t engage in behavior that is harmful to the marine life.
