- Bukchon Hanok Village - This charming village features traditional Korean houses known as Hanok. It is a residential area where people currently reside.
- Insadong - This area is filled with traditional restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and art galleries. It is a popular spot for Koreans as a dating destination. Lunch options are available to suit various tastes.
- Jogyesa Temple - Jogyesa Temple is the central temple and a symbol of Korean Buddhism. Established in 1910 by the Buddhist community, it underwent several relocations and name changes before settling in its current location in Jongno, Seoul, in 1954. The temple serves as a hub for education, culture, and social services, featuring a bell, trees, halls, and various statues.
- Kwangjang Market - This traditional market offers a variety of Korean foods such as pancakes, rice wine, and dumplings. Visitors are often amazed by the diverse range of foods and products available.
- Cheonggyecheon Stream - Created as a space for meetings, harmony, peace, and unity, this stream in Seoul features interpretive panels about the 22 bridges that cross it. The fountains, with their various shapes, create a stunning visual display. An 18-meter tunnel on the Cheonggye Trail offers a unique experience for those entering Cheonggyecheon. After the construction of Cheonggyecheon Plaza, the Seoul Metropolitan Government designated it a car-free zone on public holidays, transforming the plaza, waterside area, and surrounding streets into cultural spaces for relaxation. The area is beautifully illuminated by three-color lights on the fountains and a two-tiered waterfall cascading from a height of four meters. Palseokdam, made from eight stones representing Korea’s eight provinces, adds to the scenic beauty.

Great trip in Korea with guide Michael Kim - Our family had a wonderful trip to Korea in June 2024, and we were very lucky to have Michael Kim as our tour guide. Michael was both caring and knowledgeable, making our experience truly enjoyable.
Michael was also very accommodating with our itinerary. We had to make a few last-minute changes, and he handled everything smoothly without any hassle. His flexibility and understanding were much appreciated.
Other than that Michael was easy to talk to about Korea, it's history and many cultural differences between other countries.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Michael Kim to anyone visiting Korea. He made our trip memorable and stress-free. Thank you, Michael!

Adventure in Seoul - Our full day tour was filled with beautiful sights in Seoul
Our guide Michael was great, very knowledgable, open to sharing history and life in Seoul KR. He was through and helpful; linking sights to historical references, life in the country during each period of change from the 13C to modern day life in Korea. I highly recommend Michael as your private guide if you are planning a trip to Seoul.

Always reliable for private tours for both small and big groups! - As usual, communication with Michael was easy and clear. Since I have used Ultimate Korea in our previous vacation in Seoul, I did not hesitate to ask Michael if he can arrange a half day tour for our big group of 22 visiting Busan. We had very limited time in Busan and we were hoping that the given time was enough to see the popular tourist spots. Mr. Cooper, our tourguide who was punctual, knowledgeable and reliable did his best to finish the itinerary as scheduled. We encountered bad traffic but we were able to get a glimpse of the following sights:
1. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
2. Gamcheon Cultural village
3. Gukje market and BIFF Square
We ended our tour with a dinner in a bbq buffet restaurant which offered many choices. It was a hearty meal. Nice way to end the 5 hour tour of Busan. Mr. Cooper was able to bring us back to our ship right on time. Thank you, Ultimate Korea for this well organized quick but fun trip!
