From humble beginnings, a succession of dreamers and doers have diversified and refined Cascade from a mill by a stream to a fountain in the foothills, quenching the thirst of generations.

Though long since gone, these custodians have left their marks upon the site. Stand where they stood and see what they saw. Join us as we unbottle our past and tap a tale or two of this iconic Tasmanian institution.

Nice way to spend a sunny afternoon - A very interesting origin story about a well known Tasmanian brand. I must confess I was a fan of the cordial not the beer but a great experience anyway.

Historic Tour was Great - We chose to do the historic tour rather than the brewery tour and were happy with our choice. Great tour, lots of amazing information we did not know about the history and the area. Your guide was great, cheerful and knowledgeable presentation.

Great tour. - We really enjoyed the tour…our guide was interesting and informative. Disappointed that due to renovation work the facade of the main building was covered in scaffolding but do understand the reasons behind this. Also a great spot for a nice lunch after the tour.

Hobart Cascade Brewery Historical Tour - A very informative guide tells you about the history of the brewery and the surrounding area from the early 1800s. It is an external tour where you view the brewery from outside the building.

Historic tour and a stout - Did Tye historic tour and well worth the investment. JD explanations of the history and owners was informative. A good end to the tour with a good cascade stout with the family. A great spot for an ale and would recommend.
