- Chapman’s Peak Drive - The journey continues to Chapman’s Peak after passing through the charming village of Hout Bay (Wood Bay), accessible by following the scenic coastal route from Cape Town, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Once renowned for its lush forests and wildlife, including elephants and leopards, which have since moved on, Chapman’s Peak Drive is celebrated as one of the world’s most picturesque coastal routes, offering breathtaking vistas. At its southern end, it opens up to Long Beach, an 8 km stretch of pristine white sand where horses often gallop along the shore.
- Cape Point Nature Reserve - The destination is finally reached at the beautiful 7500-hectare reserve, offering incredible wildlife sightings such as Bontebok, Zebras, Eland, and the infamous Baboons (join the tour to hear the story!). Visitors can walk up to the Lighthouse to enjoy the views where the two oceans meet and capture a photo in front of the famous sign marking the “Most South Western Tip of Africa.”
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - The return journey includes a visit to the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. This African Penguin colony is one of the few in the world. Visitors can walk along the boardwalks to observe them in their natural habitat.
- Kalk Bay - Lunch is enjoyed in Kalk Bay (Chalk Bay) at Harbour House Restaurant, which is perched on the ocean’s edge, offering magnificent views and equally delightful food (at own expense).
- Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden - The final stop of the day is at the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where visitors can stroll through the beautiful gardens. Did Apartheid begin here in 1660? Join the tour to find out!
- Camps Bay - This tour showcases the stunning scenery as it travels down the West Coast to the Peninsula via the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, with frequent stops to admire the beautiful vistas. At the park, various points of interest are visited, including the famous Cape Peninsula, the “most southern Tip of Africa,” and the lighthouse with spectacular views in every direction! The return journey is via False Bay on the East Coast, stopping at Boulders Beach to see the African Penguins (yes, Africa has Penguins!) and the famous Kirstenbosch Gardens before heading back to Cape Town. The first stop of the day is the upscale Camps Bay, known for its white sandy beach, rock pools, and views of the 12 Apostles mountain range. These mountains were once covered in forests and home to lions, leopards, and antelope.
