Great day out - An early pickup and our guide Wendy took us there directly The journey took us through the Zulu settlement areas which were very interesting to see. There were only the two of us on the tour and Wendy went the “extra mile” to find the animals. She was very knowledgeable on animals and birds seen in the park and of the general area we passed through . Although we were not lucky to see all the big 5 it was a most enjoyable day. Well recommended. Thanks Wendy

Wow, the big 5 were there! - An amazing memorable day. I was informed not to expect to see all of the big 5 , especially the lions. However 5 mins into the park and there was a lion fast asleep in a bush right next to the side of the road. It was very skinny and you could see its ribs as it was sleeping , rising and falling as it was breathing. It looked quite old. Unfortunately it was lying with its backside towards it. I'd loved to have seen its face. It was so close to the van, it was amazing being so close to this fabulous wild beast. The elephants, giraffes, secretary birds , wilder beast, water hogs , zebras , and all the rhinos and other animals were just so captivating. It was one of the most exciting days of my life, and I'm in my 70s. Worth every penny. In parts it can be a bumpy ride especially when our driver quickly had to do a 3 point turn to reverse away from a very large elephant heading up the road towards us as it thought it we might be to close to it. 10 plus out of 10 for this exciting trip. Go for it.

A superb day all round. This company... -
A superb day all round. This company is a subsidiary of a much bigger well renowned organisation and you could tell. Air conditioned Mercedes van was punctual and had plenty of room for our group of 16. Our tour co-ordinator was accompanied by a driver who got us to the game reserve efficiently and safely. The location required an early start at 6.30 am for the 2.5 hours plus journey including comfort breaks each way Upon arrival our group was divided into two as we transferred to superb off road vehicles each specialist guide acting also as driver. These guides and vehicles belonged to the tour company not the reserve and they were the best of the many we saw during the day. Our guide was superbly knowledgeable of the reserve and kept in close contact with other guides by radio to ensure that we managed to see as many animals as possible. We managed to see 4 of the big five apart from a leopard as well as baboons, zebras, impalas, the bonus being an energetic dung beetle! on occasions, animals were very close, particularly an elephant and a herd of zebras grazing beside our path. Altogether a long day lasting a little over 12 hours but nonetheless memorable in numerous ways. Highly recommended!

The whole time we were absorbed in the wonderful scenery and the animals - we saw many elephants, rhino, wart hogs, baboons, giraffes, Cape buffalos and the crowning moment - just as we had given up was a pride of lions - we can honestly say it was a wonderful trip.

In the park we saw crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, warthogs, rhinos, buffalos, zebras, several species of monkeys, spiders, snakes and birds. The guide knew exactly where to find the animals, it was great. Also the driver from Durban to the game reserve was very nice. He was a zulu man and told us so much about the zulu culture. The Lunch at the Lodge was also very nice, we were able to choose from the whole card of the restaurant.
We had a wonderful day.

Not the Big 5 - Sad that we only got to see a few animals. No Rhino or Lions. Don't think this is the best park to visit if you want to see these animals.

Beautiful Game Reserve unfortunatley not much to see there ! - Managed to see a few wildlife animals, mostly from a distance. I expected more and a better experience on a more close up encounter. The trackers were trying the best, a lot of running around in an uncomfortable open 4 wheel drives that mostly ended up in dead end destinations. I thought that the trackers would have better communication and networking to get to the best locations. I did see some some wildlife i.e Elephants from a distance, Rhinos from a distance, female Lion with her cups at a distance, Springboks from afar and some Buffalo's from very close up - no male lions, no Giraffes, no Zebras - the place looked almost deserted and void of wildlife. I was excited to some of the animals but very disappointed for not seeing more - perhaps it required a longer stay to see more. We had a 2 Hour drive through the park.
