  • Piazza Tasso - Discover the history of Sorrento’s main square, once a natural valley, now dedicated to one of Italy’s greatest poets.
  • Centro storico - Wander through the narrow alleys of Sorrento’s historic center, with sun-drenched clotheslines, cobblestone streets, and ancient buildings like the Sorrento Cathedral, Sedil Dominova, and the Monastery and Cloister of San Francesco. Explore local craft shops, grand attractions, and the stunning Villa Comunale, offering views of the Sorrento coast and the Gulf of Naples.
  • Marina Grande - Antico Borgo Marinaro - Visit the ancient fishing village with its traditional boats and the church of Sant’Anna, the protector of women in childbirth, which served as a set for a significant Italian film.
  • Villa Comunale - Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples from the Villa Comunale, once the garden of the Monastery of San Francesco.
  • Nino and Friends - Savor the taste of limoncello. This delightful finale allows you to experience the culinary excellence of the Sorrento Peninsula. The tasting is a complimentary break provided by a partner shop, offering insights into the flavors of limoncello and the chance to purchase local products. As this is a complimentary tasting from a partner shop, there are no additional costs, and all products are free. To maintain the tour’s competitive pricing, it is not a food tour, but rather a pleasant interlude before visiting the Cathedral, courtesy of our producer friends.
  • Cattedrale di Sorrento - For those interested in more about the city’s history, after the 2-hour tour, you can join me for a free visit to the Cathedral of Sorrento. Please note: the Cathedral visit is not available for the 6.30pm tour.

Enjoy the historic center of Sorrento without stress and maps! Starting from the Valley of the Mills, we’ll explore the geological history of the city, then visit the Sedil Dominova, a 14th-century city council building. Next, we’ll dive into the famous Sorrento inlay, a traditional local art form, and learn about lemon cultivation and limoncello production. We’ll then head down to the fishing port of Marina Grande and back up to visit the Cloister of San Francesco, concluding with a tasting of limoncello and limoncello cream. This tasting, offered by a partner shop, will help you appreciate the unique qualities of limoncello.

For those interested, it’s possible to visit the Cathedral of Sorrento at the end of the tour. Please note that as the main and active church of the city, it may not be accessible at certain times, especially on Saturdays or Sundays, due to ongoing celebrations.

  • In case of uncertain weather or rain it is recommended to bring an umbrella, a raincoat and to pay even greater attention in choosing shoes, which must be non-slip, given the slope of some sections and the slipperiness. Worthwhile experience! - We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Mario was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. Seeing the detailed puzzle inlay pictures and meeting one of the only 2 artists in the world still doing it was fascinating. The tour ended with a tasting of pestos, oils, & limoncello! Worthwhile experience. We loved Sorrento!

Just ok... - We booked to get an overview of Sorrento because we only had two days. The tour included a little more history than I was interested in but we did enjoy seeing the marina and small little alleys with shops which helped us gain perspective of the area. Enjoyed learning about the lemon growing and limoncello process but I did think the tasting was very rushed and would have been nicer if we weren't just all standing in a line in a the store with other customers. It might also be nice for the guide to use headsets so all could hear and he could point things out as we walked.
