Known in Ancient Greek as Στόβοι and in Latin as Stobi, this historic town was once part of Paeonia, later conquered by Macedon, and eventually became the capital of the Roman province of Macedonia Salutaris. Located near Gradsko, North Macedonia, Stobi lies on the main route from the Danube to the Aegean Sea and is considered the most renowned archaeological site in North Macedonia. The town was strategically significant, situated at the confluence of the Erigon (Crna River) and the Axios (Vardar), serving as a hub for trade and military activities. After exploring the town, proceed to Stobi Winery.

Please be aware that... - Please be aware that you're only hiring a driver not a tour guide. The driver is knowledgeable and will offer suggestions he will take you to each of the locations described in the event. Also , be aware that the price you paid is only for the driver and you're responsible for all other cost during the tour. During this excursion the driver with helpful and really nice. He made it clear that he was there to take me anywhere.I wanted to go.
