This tour was incredibly... - This tour was incredibly informational and great for people who want to learn more about Caribbean culture and history. The tour guide (Von) was very knowledgeable and he’s a second or third generation farmer of the property. We were able to taste fruits along the way, may of which I’d never heard of being from the States. After the tour he and his mom prepared squash soup, a few preserved fruits with taro and breadfruit chips, and fresh fruits from the farm. They were all delicious in a beautiful surrounding. We were with a cruise ship but if you prearrange transportation, it’s very doable for time and you get a beautiful drive through the mountains.

A Hidden Gem for Foodies and Eco-Lovers – Soma Gardens, Dominica - I had an unforgettable experience at Soma Gardens in Dominica. This eco-tourism fruit farm tour was the perfect blend of education, flavor, and natural beauty. Our guide, Vaughan, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable farming practices. He walked us through the lush gardens, sharing fascinating insights about the wide variety of tropical fruits grown there. The tasting portion was a highlight — everything was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. You haven’t really tasted fruit until you’ve had it straight from the tree in a place like this. To top it all off, we got to cool off with a swim in a crystal-clear mermaid pool surrounded by nature — the perfect ending to a perfect tour. I’d highly recommend Soma Gardens to foodies, nature lovers, and anyone interested in sustainability. It’s a unique, enriching experience that really captures the spirit of Dominica.

An edible experience - What a wonderful experience. Let’s just start by saying, when i originally booked, the site had a glitch and booked for what would have been an hour after landing. My hotel crew was able to get in contact with them and switch my tour date. The day of the tour my driver forgot about my tour so I was about 20 minutes late. When arriving, I saw Von, and his mom Anna. He did not sweat the timing, in fact he gave me sort of a prequel to what I would see on the tour. He was very informative and I learned about a lot of different types of bay leaves and their purposes. That they have over the 100 different kinds of fruit through their farm. Anything that screamed health benefit, I couldn’t wait to try. I’m from New York so most of this fruit I either only saw online or never even heard of. That pineapple field is absolutely a site to see. One of my favorites had to have been the guava strawberry! At the end we got to try an amazing platter of things made from it the fruit grown right there. Though customs got me, they had a starfruit preserve that was just too good. It paired great with the breadfruit chips I’ve been thinking about since I left. I went on the tour alone however, it felt very homey, and I got along with the other guests. Definitely coming to visit again. Thanks you guys
