The Yagodinska Cave stretches over 10 kilometers, stands 5 stories high, and consists of numerous labyrinths. Visitors access the cave through a man-made entrance and follow a designated path, enhanced by electric lighting that highlights the stunning and enigmatic formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and cave pearls. Near the natural entrance, a 10-minute walk from the main visitor entry, archaeologists have discovered hearths dating back to 4,000 B.C., providing evidence of Eneolithic people who once inhabited the cave.

According to legend, Devil’s Throat is the path Orpheus, the famed Thracian musician, took in his attempt to rescue his beloved Euridice from Hades in the Underworld. The cave is associated with numerous mystical powers and features the largest waterfall inside a cave on the Balkan Peninsula. Despite efforts by teams worldwide to trace the waterfall’s connection to various rivers, the mystery of where and how the water flows remains unsolved to this day.
