Excellent introduction to Sofia and Bulgarian history - We did 3 walking tours over 2 days. All the tours were well organised, well prepared and insightful. They gave an excellent oversight to the city and the recent history of Bulgaria.

Very worthwhile - Excellent walk. Nikola presented a good historical perspective to his subject and evinced a depth of knowledge most guides lack. It was a very interesting and enjoyable walk through Sofia and her communist times.

Thoughtful and enjoyable: the perfect introduction to an important era - I was born in the late 1960s and heavily marked by the Cold War and a sense of a Communist threat. It was therefore fascinating to revisit that history through a slice of Bulgarian life, in the shape of its buildings, its religion, its memorials. Yoan was a tremendous guide: informed, witty and thoughtful, weaving personal narrative and interpretation into the broader history. I had previously attended the introductory tour of Sofia, on this, my first visit to Bulgaria. Both left me with a better understanding of the country, the city, their histories, politics and people, and eager to return before long.

Good tour. Open to question. But the tour announced that the maximum number of people was 9, and there were 25 people. - Good tour. But there were 25 people while annoucement said max was 9. Highlight was the visit to the Soviet monument, indeed
