- Tempus Vini Wine Point - During this personalized tasting experience, the operator will introduce you to the unique world of Bulgarian wines. Although Bulgaria has been producing wine for 5,000 years, it remains relatively unknown globally. However, a new generation of Bulgarian boutique winemakers is passionately dedicated to their craft, bringing renewed attention to the country.
Participants will have the opportunity to taste five wine varieties made from local grapes unique to Bulgaria, which cannot be found elsewhere: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza, and Rubin. Additionally, local cheeses and mineral water will be provided.
All wines will be served in one glass to enhance their intensity and aromas. For larger groups, the wine tasting will take place in a specially equipped multimedia hall located near the shop.

As part of your exclusive tasting journey, I will serve as your guide to the unique world of Bulgarian wines. While Bulgaria boasts a 5000 year legacy of wine-making, it remains relatively unfamiliar to the global stage. A new wave of Bulgarian boutique winemakers, dedicated to their craft, are now shedding more light on our nation.
In this session, you will sample 5 distinct wine varieties from local grapes exclusive to Bulgaria, unavailable elsewhere: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza, and Rubin. Complementary local cheeses, artisan bread, and mineral water will be served as well.
The tasting takes place at Tempus Vini, one of Sofia’s premier boutique wine stores, nestled on a trendy street known for its upscale restaurants and boutiques. Being located just a few blocks away from Sofia’s main pedestrian boulevard adds to its charm.
Throughout the session, I will impart information about the Bulgarian wine regions, sharing the history and flourishing wine traditions of our stunning nation.
