Chicaque Natural Park - Enjoy a pleasant walk through the magic mist that ascends from below as you make your way down the tremendous mountain, listen to stories and contemplate the scenery. In this experience you will walk down 6oo meters, while passing through colonial passages. Encounter numerous species of birds that will be pointed out as well as other fauna and flora that will also be discussed and introduced by the biologist guide. You will be able to choose from two different trails with different activities: zipline or horseback ride, typical lunch in the Colonial Refuge is included as well as a ride back up the mountain.
7:00 AM Pick up at the hotel in a comfortable car
8:30 9:00 AM Arrival at the Chicaque Natural Park: We will start by having a light typical breakfast and then we will do warm-up and stretching exercises.
9:10 AM Descent of about 600 meters and we will be able to notice the transition between the Andean forest and high Andean forest ecosystems.
10:20 AM Bird Watching
12:00 PM Refuge arrival and get ready for activities
1:30 PM Lunch at the Colonial Refuge
3:00 PM Jeep or horseback ride back to the top of the mountain
3:20 PM Return to Bogota
